Abstract
Oneof theproblems that oftenoccurs in theprocess of selectingprospective employees conventionally is thatHumanResourceDevelopment (HRD) has to checkCVsandconduct interviewswithapplicantsonebyonewhichisrelatively timeconsuming. Inaddition,aspecial storageareaisneededtostoreapplicants' CVs,whichcancauseabuildupofjobapplicationfiles,makingitdifficultforHRD tomanageapplicant files.Thecompany'sgrowinghumanresource (HR)needs graduallyrequire thecreationof asystemcapableof supporting thecompany's businessgrowthinorder toachievebetterperformance.Withthedesignof this informationsystem, it isproventhat bothapplicantsandHRDcanundergo the selectionprocessmuchmore effectivelyandefficiently, fromwhat previously requiredanaverageof20daystojust2to3days.Thiswebinformationsystemis designedusing theWaterfall developmentmethodand thePHPprogramming language.Thedatacollectiontechniquesusedareliteraturestudies,observations, andinterviews. Permasalahanyangseringterjadidalamprosespenyeleksiancalonkaryawansecara konvensional salahsatunyaadalahHumanResourceDevelopment (HRD)harus mengecekCVdanmelakukan interviewparapelamar satuper satuyangrelatif memakanwaktulama.Selainitu,diperlukantempatpenyimpanankhususuntuk menyimpanCVparapelamar, yangdapatmenyebabkanterjadinyapenumpukan arsiplamarankerjasehinggamempersulitpihakHRDdalammengelolaberkaspara pelamar. Kebutuhan sumber dayamanusia (SDM) perusahaan yang semakin berkembang sedikit demi sedikit mengaruskan dibuatnya sebuah sistemyang mampumenunjangpertumbuhanbisnisperusahaandemimewujudkankinerjayang lebihbaik.Dengandirancangnyasisteminformasiini,makaterbuktibaikpelamar atauHRDdapatmenjalani proses penyeleksiandengan jauh lebih efektif dan efisien,dariyangtadinyamembutuhkanrata-rata20harimenjadi2sampai3hari saja. Sisteminformasiweb ini dirancangmenggunakanmetodepengembangan WaterfalldanbahasapemrogramanPHP.Adapunteknikpengumpulandatayang digunakanadalahstudiliteratur,observasi,danwawancara.
