Abstract

Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berkembang di Asia Tenggara yang saat ini tengah berada di era globalisasi, memiliki beberapa penyedia jasa layanan internet yang selalu memberikan layanan terbaiknya agar para pengguna masyarakat Indonesia dapat selalu mengakses internet dengan aman dan nyaman. Salah satunya adalah PT. Sumber Data Indonesia sebagai penyedia jasa layanan internet tentu sering menghadapi gangguan pada media fiber optic, begitupun para penyedia jasa layanan internet lainnya. PT. Sumber Data Indonesia menggunakan kabel fiber optic sebagai media distribusi jaringan nya tentu harus terus berimprovisasi agar rancangan infrastruktur jaringan yang mereka bangun dapat selalu berjalan tanpa adanya gangguan yang berlarut dan umumnya disebabkan oleh fiber optic cut hingga module port error pada perangkat distribusi jaringan mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian Tugas Akhir ini adalah melakukan implementasi Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) agar dapat menjadi solusi untuk meminimalisir downtime saat terjadi gangguan pada jaringan backbone di PT. Sumber Data Indonesia. Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) digunakan untuk membuat topologi toleran kesalahan dengan mengkonfigurasi label domain EAPS pada jalur primer dan sekunder untuk setiap VLAN. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Adapun tahapan NDLC yang dimulai dari tahapan Analysis, Design, Prototype, Implementation, Monitoring, dan Management. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap perancangan infrastruktur jaringan backbone PT. Sumber Data Indonesia sehingga dapat memberikan pelayanan dan keamanan pada pengguna sehingga dapat turut serta meningkatkan mutu layanan jaringan internet di Indonesia. Kata Kunci : Indonesia, Jaringan, Internet, Penyedia, Layanan Indonesia as one of the developing countries in Southeast Asia which is currently in the era of globalization, has several internet service providers who always provide their best service so that Indonesian users can always access the internet safely and comfortably. One of them is PT. Sumber Data Indonesia as an internet service provider, of course, often encounters disruptions to fiber optic media, as well as other internet service providers. PT. Indonesian Data Sources use fiber optic cables as their network distribution media, of course they have to continue to improvise so that the network infrastructure designs they build can always run without any protracted interruptions and are generally caused by fiber optic cuts to module port errors on their network distribution devices. The purpose of this Final Project research is to implement Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) so that it can be a solution to minimize downtime when there is a disturbance on the backbone network at PT. Indonesian Data Sources. Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) is used to create faulttolerant topologies by configuring EAPS domain labels on the primary and secondary lines for each VLAN. This research was conducted using the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method. The NDLC stages start from the Analysis, Design, Prototype, Implementation, Monitoring, and Management stages. The results of this study contribute to the design of the backbone network infrastructure of PT. Indonesian Data Sources so that they can provide services and security to users so that they can participate in improving the quality of internet network services in Indonesia.
