Abstract

Lack of public understanding of investment caused an increase in victims of investment fraud and the solution about this problem is less effective. The INVEREST application was developed to help people to detect suspicious investment easily. The application run on Android Mobile and Android TV platforms with prototype development methods and black-box testing. The indicators of fraud investments are (a) Not listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) or the Financial Services Authority (OJK) or not supervised by the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (BAPPEBTI). (b) There is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scheme or Ponzi scheme or there is an investment package offer or there is a system of inviting friends to get a bonus (referral), (c) Promising high return or profit with little risk, (d) Profits have been stuck, (e) There is a urge for investors to immediately join or deposit funds, and (f) Using famous figures (influencers) for promotion. Keywords: fraud investment; financial literacy; fraud; Ponzi scheme; Android Pemahaman masyarakat terhadap investasi yang masih kurang menyebabkan meningkatnya korban penipuan investasi dan penanganan terhadap masalah ini menjadi kurang tepat. Aplikasi INVEREST dikembangkan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam mengidentifikasi investasi yang mencurigakan. Aplikasi dijalankan di platform Android Mobile dan Android TV dengan metode pengembangan prototype dan pengujian black-box. Indikator investasi bodong yang didapat adalah (a) Tidak terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) atau Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) atau tidak diawasi oleh Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (BAPPEBTI), (b) Terdapat skema Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) atau Ponzi atau ada penawaran paket investasi atau ada sistem mengundang teman mendapatkan bonus (referral), (c) Menjanjikan pengembalian dana atau keuntungan yang tinggi dengan risiko kecil, (d) Keuntungan pernah macet, (e) Terdapat desakan agar investor segera bergabung atau setor dana, dan (f) Menggunakan tokoh terkenal (influencer) untuk promosi.
