Abstract
Fluid Mechanics is the science of studying the properties of fluids at rest or in motion without regard to the causes of fluid motion. Fluid mechanics is a key element in mechanical engineering.The flow loss test tool is a tool to find out how much the fluid distribution loss is in the test equipment system, in the flow loss test tool there are several components such as PVC Pipes, Galvanized Pipes, Aluminum Pipes, pressure gauges, pressure vacuums, valves (valve) and turns (elbow). In the flow loss test equipment there is pressure, water flow rate, and fluid level which can be calculated using Bernoully's equation. The purpose of this study is to determine the flow loss for each component in the flow loss tester using Bernoully's equation and to find out the correct components in the flow loss tester. The method used in the selection of the components of the loss test equipment includes (i) Determining pump specifications, (ii) Pipes and components used, (iii) Selection of pressure gauge, (iv) Calculating head losses. In this study, the amount of flow loss has been analyzed by knowing the pipe diameter is 25.5 mm, the overall length of the pipe is 9.85 m, and the supporting components of the pipe such as elbows, valves, tees, etc ℎ
