Abstract

Network Automation is a new paradigm in the process of configuration, management, and operation of computer networks. The conventional method of performing remote configuration that uses telnet or ssh as connectivity to the device to be configured is considered inefficient if the configuration carried out is similar and is carried out on many devices. At PT. XYZ network administration process for new employees is still using the conventional method, it is not effective because the administrator will repeat the same command on all the intended devices. By implementing the Network Automation approach, administrators only need to do one task to configure all of their intended devices. In this study, Ansible technology is used as a tool to automate the process. and to facilitate ansible operation, a web-based system will be built that bridges users with ansible, the system will be built using the python-based Django framework to facilitate the integration process with Ansible. With the construction of a webbased system, it is hoped that it will facilitate network administrators in the network administration process automatically and minimize human errors because the configuration process is run by the system. Key words: Django, Ansible, Web Application, Network Automation Network Automation adalah paradigma baru dalam proses konfigurasi, manajemen, dan operasi jaringan komputer. Metode konvensional dalam melakukan remote configuration yang menggunakan telnet ataupun ssh sebagai konektivitas ke perangkat yang akan dikonfigurasi dinilai tidak efisien jika konfigurasi yang dikerjakan memiliki kemiripan dan dilakukan kebanyak perangkat. Di PT. XYZ proses administrasi jaringan bagi karyawan baru nya masih menggunakan metode konvensional, hal tersebut tidak efektif karena administrator akan mengulang perintah yang sama pada semua perangkat yang dituju. Dengan mengimplementasi pendekatan Network Automation, administrator hanya perlu mengerjakan satu tugas untuk mengonfigurasi semua perangkat yang dituju. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknologi Ansible sebagai alat untuk mengotomasi proses tersebut. dan untuk mempermudah operasi ansible, akan dibangun sistem berbasis web yang menjembatani pengguna dengan ansible, sistem akan dibangun menggunakan framework Django yang berbasis bahasa python agar memudahkan proses integrasi dengan Ansible. dengan dibangunnya sistem berbasis web diharapkan mempermudah administrator jaringan dalam proses administrasi jaringan secara otomatis serta meminimalisir kesalahan manusia karena proses konfigurasi dijalankan oleh sistem.
