Abstract

One of the problems felt by new students is the difficulty of finding a place to live that is comfortable, safe and close to the university according to their individual tastes. This is due to the limited information obtained from the public directly, moreover, it requires boarding house seekers to find boarding houses that are close to their universities. There are so many problems that are felt when you have to find a boarding house that suits your taste, both in terms of time spent, energy, thoughts and materials that are drained looking for a boarding house to be occupied. The nearest boarding house search system from the university is a system that can be used to assist and facilitate boarding house seekers and boarding house owners in finding and promoting their boarding houses. This closest boarding house search system uses the haversine method by calculating latitude and longitude from the university to the boarding house with a radius of 1 to 4 kilometers. Data collection methods used, such as observation and literature study. The result of this research is to make an application for the nearest boarding house search system using the website-based haversine method. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the nearest boarding house search system using the haversine method is designed simply to make it easier for the user or users, and the nearest boarding house search application is an application created to help students who are looking for boarding houses to find it easily. Key words: website application, Geographic Information System, Formula Haversine Salah satu permasalahan yang dirasakan oleh mahasiswa baru adalah sulitnya mencari tempat tinggal yang nyaman, aman dan dekat dengan universitas sesuai selera masing-masing. Hal ini disebabkan keterbatasan informasi yang diperoleh dari masyarakat secara langsung, apalagi mengharuskan pencari kost mencari kost-kosan yang dekat dengan uiversitasnya. Sangat banyak sekali permasalahan yang dirasakan saat harus mencari sendiri tempat kost yang sesuai dengan selera, baik dilihat dari sisi waktu yang dihabiskan, tenaga, pikiran dan materi yang terkuras mencari tempat kost yang akan ditempati. Sistem pencarian kost terdekat dari universitas merupakan sistem yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu dan mempermudah para pencari kost serta pemilik kost dalam mencari dan mempromosikan kost-kosannya. sistem pencarian kost terdekat ini menggunakan metode haversine dengan cara menghitung latitude dan longitude dari universitas ke tempat kost dengan jangkauan radius 1 sampai 4 kilometer. Metode Pengumpulan data yang digunakan seperti, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu membuat aplikasi sistem pencarian kost terdekat menggunakan metode haversine berbasis website. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Aplikasi sistem pencarian kost terdekat menggunakan metode haversine ini dirancang dengan sederhana untuk memudahkan user atau pengguna, dan aplikasi pencarian kost terdekat merupakan aplikasi yang dibuat untuk membantu para mahasiswa yang sedang mencari kost-kosan agar dapat menemukannnya dengan mudah.
