Abstract

The need for electricity is currently one of the basic needs. If the electricity goes out, it will be a problem for humans today, it can hamper our activities and harm several sectors in the community, both agencies and individuals, Therefore, a backup power source is needed as a back-up, usually a back-up method that is often used as a substitute for the main power source is to use a generator, so that community activities continue to run especially vital ones such as hospitals, schools, private and government buildings. The development of controllers today that can perform commands that have been set and execute them is a good innovation, especially in this era. This PLC controller, Deepsea 8610, is able to become the main brain when there is a blackout from the main power source, PLN. He can read the electric current when it goes out from PLN and then pass this information to AMF (Automatic Main Failure) and turn on the generator as backup power, then the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) panel will cut the line from PLN and replace the power source to the generator. Keywords: synchronous genset, backup power source, synchronous panel, Deepsea 8610 Kebutuhan listrik saat ini merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok. Apabila listrik padam maka akan menjadi masalah bagi manusia saat ini, bisa menghambat aktivitas kita dan merugikan beberapa sektor dimasyarakat baik instansi maupun individu, Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan sumber listrik cadangan sebagai back-up,biasanya metode back-up yang sering digunakan sebagai pengganti sumber listrik utama adalah menggunakan genset. agar aktivitas Masyarakat tetap berjalan khusunya yang vital seperti, rumah sakit, sekolah, Gedung-gedung milik swasta maupun pemerintah. perkembangan kontroller saat ini bisa melakukan perintah-perintah yang sudah di setel dan mengeksekusinya merupakan inovasi yang bagus khususnya dizaman ini. Kontroler PLC ini yaitu Deepsea 8610 mampu menjadi otak utama saat terjadinya pemadaman dari sumber listrik utama yaitu PLN. Dia bisa membaca arus listrik Ketika padam dari PLN lalu meneruskan informasi ini ke AMF ( Automatic Main Failure) dan menghidupkan genset sebagai daya cadangan, lalu panel ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) akan memutus jalur dari PLN dan mengganti sumber daya ke genset.
