Abstract

This study aims to analyze and demonstrate the exploration of research topics using Litstudy, a Python library, in a step-by-step environment. The stages of analysis are provided to make it easier for senior researchers and early researchers such as students who have basic knowledge of Python language to explore research topics in their chosen domain, starting from downloading metadata through APIs and then analyzing scientific publication metadata using visualization, bibliographic network, and NLP. This research provides data analysis on social network analysis and its development after 2020 to the present (2020-2023) by using the litstudy package. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative of the selected topic. From the search results, 1249 journals were found on the topic of Social Network Analysis or SNA with a time span of 2020-2023. As a result, it can be concluded that Social Network Analysis or SNA is a field that can be combined with other fields to study. Thus, there are many opportunities to discover new things in this topic. In addition, this research is expected to be a source for researchers to conduct research and determine research topics. Keywords: Social Network Analysis, Topic Research, Exploratory, Litstudy Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendemonstrasikan eksplorasi topik penelitian menggunakan Litstudy, sebuah library Python, dalam lingkungan langkah demi langkah. Tahapan analisis disediakan untuk memudahkan peneliti senior dan peneliti awal seperti mahasiswa yang memiliki pengetahuan dasar bahasa Python untuk mengeksplorasi topik penelitian dalam domain yang dipilih, dimulai dari mengunduh metadata melalui API dan kemudian menganalisis metadata publikasi ilmiah dengan menggunakan visualisasi, jaringan bibliografi, dan NLP. Penelitian ini memberikan analisis data tentang analisis jaringan sosial dan perkembangannya setelah tahun 2020 hingga saat ini (2020-2023) dengan menggunakan paket litstudy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dari topik yang dipilih. Dari hasil pencarian, ditemukan 1249 jurnal dengan topik Social Network Analysis atau SNA dengan rentang waktu 2020-2023. Hasilnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Social Network Analysis atau SNA merupakan bidang yang dapat digabungkan dengan bidang lain untuk dipelajari. Dengan demikian, terdapat banyak peluang untuk menemukan hal-hal baru dalam topik ini. Selain itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sumber bagi para peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian dan menentukan topik penelitian.
