Abstract
Nowadays, not only voice is required, but also data and video. It is considered that copper cable transmission media is not enough to meet these needs. One technology that is considered to be able to deliver large bandwidth is fiber optic technology. This research aims to evaluate the performance of FTTB Metro Ethernet GPON infrastructure (segmented GPON uplink media on the network) at Lexington Apartments. This analysis technique uses the power link budget method for mathematical formula calculation and simulation on optisystem software for FTTB infrastructure design. The ODP output has a link power between -17.8 dBm and -19.8 dBm, according to the research data. This shows that the power generated by ODP meets the ITU-T G984 standard and Biznet company standard. Key words: Metro-E, GPON, FTTB, Fiber Optic, Link Budget. Saat ini, tidak hanya suara yang diperlukan, tetapi juga data dan video. Di nilai bahwa media transmisi kabel tembaga tidak cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Salah satu teknologi yang dianggap dapat mengalirkan bandwidth yang besar adalah teknologi serat optik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja infrastruktur FTTB Metro Ethernet GPON (media uplink GPON yang di segmentasikan pada jaringan) di Apartement Lexington. Teknik analisis ini menggunakan metode power link budget untuk perhitungan rumus matematis dan simulasi pada software optisystem untuk rancangan infrastruktur FTTB. Output ODP memiliki link daya antara -17,8 dBm dan -19,8 dBm, menurut data penelitian. Ini menunjukkan bahwa daya yang dihasilkan ODP memenuhi standar kententuan ITU-T G984 dan standar perusahaan Biznet. Kata Kunci : Metro-E, GPON, FTTB, Fiber Optik, Link Budget
