Abstract

Power transformers are expected to operate with a long life. In addition to maintenance factors, operational factors are also very influential in maintaining the life expectancy of the transformer. From an operational point of view, the transformer is not recommended to be operated at maximum capacity continuously. When the transformer is loaded, there will be heat due to power losses, overheating that exceeds the thermal insulation limit of the transformer will cause degradation of the paper and oil insulation. This will certainly shorten the life expectancy of the transformer. In addition to the internal heat generated from power losses, external heat from the ambient temperature also greatly affects the accumulation of overheating in the power transformer. This final project examines the effect of loading and environmental temperature on the life loss of the transformer. Then look for the optimum loading of the transformer based on the highest possible ambient temperature and indications of the highest temperature ever reached when the transformer is operating. The transformers that are the object of research are transformer units 1, 2, and 4 at Teluk Naga Substation. Ageing loss analysis refers to the 1991 IEC 60354 standard and the optimum load analysis uses the Newton-Raphson iteration method. Research that refers to the highest transformer load at the Teluk Naga Substation in November 2020, resulted in a life loss rate for transformer unit 1 is 57.5 %/day, transformer unit 2 is 100.1 %/day, and transformer unit 4 is 243, 8 %/day. Meanwhile, the optimum loading of transformer unit 1 is 99.30%, transformer unit 2 is 99.31%, and transformer unit 4 is 96.77%. Keywords: Power transformer, ambient temperatur, ageing loss, optimum load Transformator tenaga diharapkan dapat beroperasi dengan umur yang panjang. Selain faktor pemeliharaan, faktor operasinal juga sangat berpengaruh untuk menjaga umur harapan hidup transformator. Dari segi operasional, transformator tidak direkomendasikan untuk dioperasikan pada kapasitas maksimum secara terus-menerus. Saat transformator dibebani, akan timbul panas akibat rugi-rugi daya, pemanasan berlebih yang melewati batas thermal isolasi transformator akan menyebabkan degradasi pada isolasi kertas dan minyak. Hal ini tentunya akan memperpendek usia harapan hidup transformator. Selain panas dari dalam yang ditimbulkan dari rugi-rugi daya, panas eksternal dari suhu lingkungan juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap akumulasi pemanasan berlebih pada transformator tenaga. Tugas akhir ini meneliti mengenai pengaruh pembebanan dan suhu lingkungan terhadap susut umur trasnformator. Kemudian mencari pembebanan optimum transformator berdasarkan kemungkinan suhu lingkungan tertinggi dan indikasi-indikasi suhu tertinggi yang pernah tercapai saat transformator beroperasi. Transformator yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah transformator unit 1, 2, dan 4 Gardu Induk Teluk Naga. Analisis susut umur mengacu pada standar IEC 60354 tahun 1991 dan analisis beban optimum menggunakan metode iterasi Newton- Raphson. Penelitian yang mengacu pada beban tertinggi transformator di Gardu Induk Teluk Naga bulan November 2020, menghasilkan laju susut umur untuk transformator unit 1 sebesar 57,5 %/hari, transformator unit 2 sebesar 100,1 %/hari, dan transformator unit 4 sebesar 243,8 %/hari. Sedangkan untuk pembebanan optimum transformator unit 1 sebesar 99,30%, transformator unit 2 sebesar 99,31%, dan transformator unit 4 sebesar 96,77%.
