Abstract

In this case, the researcher conducted a study with the aim of seeing whether there was a relationship between alexithymia and self-efficacy in student X in West Jakarta. The number of subjects in this study were 200 students. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Self-efficacy measurement tool, which is to use the adaptation measurement tool from the Hamka scale (2010) and the Alexithymia Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS 20) measuring instrument. Taylor, et al (2003). the results of the reliability test have a value of, 899 of the self-efficacy variable, and the alexithymia variable of, 876. The results showed a significance value of 0.200: p> 0.01, which means that there is a relationship between alexithymia and self-efficacy in student X in West Jakarta. The result of the correlation of the two variables is -.405, which means that there is a correlation and shows a negative direction where the higher alexithymia, the lower the self-efficacy, and vice versa. . Keywords: Self Efficacy, Alexithymia Dalam hal ini peneliti melakukan sebuah penelitian dengan tujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan alexithymia dengan self efficacy pada mahasiswa X di Jakarta Barat. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 200 mahasiswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur Self efficacy, ialah menggunakan alat ukur adaptasi dari skala Hamka (2010) dan alat ukur alexithymia Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS 20). Taylor, dkk (2003). hasil uji reablitias memiliki nilai ,899 dari variabel self efficacy, dan variabel alexithymia sebesar ,876. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai signifikansi 0.200 : p > 0.01 yang artinya terdapat hubungan antara alexithymia dengan self efficacy pada mahasiswa X di Jakarta Barat. Hasil korelasi dari kedua variabel sebesar -.405 yang artinya terdapat korelasi dan menunnjukan arah yang negatif dimana semakin tinggi alexithymia maka semakin rendah self efficacy nya, dan begitu juga sebaliknya.
