Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship of academic procrastination with zeigarnik effect in faculty of psychology, Mercu Buana University, Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach research design, by examining the relationship between variables. Participants in this study amounted to 120 students in semester 5 of the total population, in collecting data using online questionnaires (google form), using saturated sampling technique. The result of this study is that there is a negative relationship between academic procrastination and the zeigarnik effect, which means that the higher the academic procrastination, the lower the zeigarnik effect or vice versa, the higher the zeigarnik effect, the lower the academic procrastination. Because it has a correlation value obtained of -0.718, it is categorized as strongly correlated, with a significance value of 0.000. Keywords : Academic Procrastination, Zeigarnik Effect Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan zeigarnik effect pada fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan menguji hubungan antar variabel. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 120 mahasiswa/i semester 5 dari jumlah populasi, dalam pengambilan data menggunakan penyebaran kuesioner secara online (google form), dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Jenuh. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan yang negatif antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan zeigarnik effect, yang artinya semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik maka semakin rendah zeigarnik effect ataupun begitu juga sebaliknya semakin tinggi zeigarnik effect maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik. Karena memiliki nilai korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar -0,718 masuk kedalam kategori berkorelasi kuat, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Kata Kunci : Prokrastinasi Akademik, Zeigarnik Effect
