Abstract

PT Greenet Indonesia is an Internet Service Provider established in 2018. PT Greenet Indonesia has more than 10,000 subscribers in Q1 2023. Stable internet connectivity is the top priority for Internet Service Provider services. Therefore, the mix of device and system configurations should result in high availability of services for customers. This study tests the mixed routing protocol dynamic BGP and static routing methods, aiming to get minimal downtime when one of the upstream encounters a problem. BGP is used so that PT Greenet Indonesia's network is recognized by the world, and static routing is used for load balance and minimal downtime results when one upstream encounters a problem. This study uses four samples of international website addresses to obtain test data with ping and traceroute tests. The results of implementing this method are very good where there is a test sample when one of the upstream is constrained, downtime occurs only two seconds. Keywords: Dynamic Routing, BGP Multihoming, Loadbalance, Failover PT Greenet Indonesia adalah Penyedia Layanan Internet yang berdiri tahun 2018. PT Greenet Indonesia memiliki lebih dari 10.000 pelanggan pada Q1 2023. Kestabilan konektivitas internet adalah prioritas utama layanan bagi Internet Service Provider. Oleh karena itu, racikan konfigurasi perangkat dan sistem harus menghasilkan layanan untuk pelanggan dengan tingkat ketersediaan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini mengujikan metode mixed routing protocol dynamic BGP dan routing static, bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil downtime yang minim ketika salah satu upstream terjadi kendala. BGP digunakan agar jaringan PT Greenet Indonesia dikenali oleh dunia, dan routing static digunakan untuk load balance dan hasil downtime yang minim ketika salah satu upstream mengalami kendala. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat sampel alamat website internasional untuk mendapatkan data pengujian dengan uji ping dan traceroute. Hasil dari implementasi metode ini sangatlah bagus dimana ada sampel uji ketika salah satu upstream kendala, downtime terjadi hanya dua detik.
