Abstract
Die Casting Machine is a printing machine with aluminum material, the aluminum smelting process is contained in the die casting machine device, namely the holding furnace, the melting point of aluminum is 650oC where in the smelting process using a burner process with a temperature ranging from 750oC. With a high melting process temperature causing a conduction heat transfer process, in the holding furnace wall area there is a heat loss ranging from 37oC to 150oC, the temperature can be utilized with a thermoelectric generator, by applying the concept of effect seeback, namely heat energy as an energy source that can be converted into electrical energy, for one piece thermoelectric can produce 1.5 VDC and 1.6mA with a heat temperature of 37oC to 150 oC, if arranged in parallel as many as 8 pieces can produce 12VDC. Keywords : Die Casting Holding Furnace Machine; Renewable Energies; Heat Transfer; Effect Seeback; Thermoelectric Generator Mesin Die Casting adalah mesin cetak dengan material alumunium, proses peleburan alumunium terdapat pada perangkat mesin die casting yaitu holding furnace, titik lebur alumunium adalah 650oC dimana dalam proses peleburan menggunakan proses burner dengan suhu berkisar 750oC. Dengan suhu proses peleburan yang tinggi menimbulkan proses perpindahan panas secara konduksi, pada area dinding holding furnace terdapat heat loss berkisar 37oC hingga 150oC, suhu tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan dengan alat thermoelectric generator, dengan menerapkan konsep effect seeback yaitu energi panas sebagai sumber energi yang dapat diubah menjadi energi listrik, untuk satu buah thermoelectric dapat menghasilkan 1.5 VDC dan 1.6mA dengan suhu panas 37 oC hingga 150 oC, jika disusun secara pararel sebanyak 8 buah dapat menghasilkan 12VDC.
