Abstract
Hospitals generally have health standards according to regulations and design buildings to provide comfort and safety for patients. The goal is to get rid of any fear that might be in the patient's mind, so that the healing process can go better. However, there are concerns regarding the interior design of the Bina Estetika Hospital, a plastic surgery specialty hospital in Jakarta. Even though this hospital is located in the exclusive area of Menteng, DKI Jakarta, the interior design that lacks an impression of professionalism causes a lack of public trust in the hospital's competence. Compared to the small clinic that just opened, many plastic surgery patients prefer to visit the clinic because of the attractive and inviting interior appearance. As a result, Bina Estetika Hospital, which has had many years of experience, lost several potential patients. The interior of the Bina Estetika Hospital does not appear to be well organized and does not reflect an exclusive impression, giving rise to doubts about the competence of the hospital. To overcome this problem, the authors argue that the principle of "Healing Environment" must be applied. By applying this principle, hospital interior design can be improved to create an environment that supports the healing process and creates a sense of trust for patients. It is hoped that by adopting this principle, Bina Estetika Hospital can improve the image and trust of the public towards its competence in providing quality plastic surgery services. Keywords: Hospital, plastic surgery, healing environment, beauty Rumah sakit pada umumnya memiliki standar kesehatan sesuai ketentuan dan merancang bangunan untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan keamanan bagi pasien. Tujuannya adalah menghilangkan rasa takut yang mungkin ada di pikiran pasien, sehingga proses penyembuhan dapat berjalan lebih baik. Namun, terdapat kekhawatiran terkait desain interior di Rumah Sakit Bina Estetika, sebuah rumah sakit khusus bedah plastik di Jakarta. Meskipun rumah sakit ini berlokasi di kawasan eksklusif Menteng, DKI Jakarta, desain interior yang kurang memperlihatkan kesan profesionalitasnya menyebabkan kurangnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kompetensi rumah sakit tersebut. Dibandingkan dengan klinik kecil yang baru saja dibuka, banyak pasien bedah plastik lebih memilih mengunjungi klinik tersebut karena penampilan interior yang menarik dan mengundang minat. Sebagai akibatnya, RS Bina Estetika yang telah berpengalaman bertahun-tahun kehilangan beberapa pasien potensial. Interior RS Bina Estetika tampak belum tertata dengan baik dan tidak mencerminkan kesan eksklusif, sehingga menimbulkan keraguan tentang kompetensi rumah sakit. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penulis berpendapat bahwa prinsip "Healing Environment" harus diterapkan. Dengan menerapkan prinsip ini, desain interior rumah sakit dapat ditingkatkan agar menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung proses penyembuhan dan menimbulkan rasa percaya bagi pasien. Diharapkan bahwa dengan adopsi prinsip ini, RS Bina Estetika dapat meningkatkan citra dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kompetensinya dalam memberikan pelayanan bedah plastik yang berkualitas.
