Abstract
Construction projects at PT. Wijaya Karya (WIKA) always produce waste construction materials, as result the amount of project profits earned is reduced. Research is needed to analyze the effect of investment costs and the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) on efforts to reduce waste construction materials. The population of this research are employees who have implemented BIM and they are placed in the Jabodetabek work area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). The sample used was 100 people. The data were processed using the Smart PLS software. The results showed that investment costs have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of BIM. If the implementation of BIM is carried out well, stakeholders will have a more complete data source for estimating material needs. The investment cost of BIM also has an impact on efforts to reduce the waste construction material. The implication of this research is that the investment costs from implementing BIM can be used as an effort to reduce the waste material for construction projects. Researchers suggest investing in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to be included in the company's long-term work program plan so as to support BIM implementation and efforts to reduce waste construction material. In addition, the method of reducing the waste construction material using assumptions and previous project experience can be changed by using the output of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Keywords: Investment, Implementation, Building Information Modeling, Waste Construction Material Proyek-proyek konstruksi pada PT.Wijaya Karya (WIKA) selalu menyisakan material konstruksi yang berakibat pemborosan dan jumlah keuntungan proyek yang diperoleh menjadi berkurang. Penelitian diperlukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh biaya investasi dan implementasi Building Information Modeling (BIM) terhadap upaya pengurangan sisa material konstruksi. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah karyawan yang pernah mengimplementasikan BIM dan ditempatkan di area kerja Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi). Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 orang. Data yang diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa biaya investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap implementasi BIM. Jika implementasi BIM terlaksana dengan baik maka para pemangku kepentingan akan memiliki sumber data lebih lengkap untuk keperluan estimasi kebutuhan material. Biaya investasi BIM juga memiliki pengaruh terhadap upaya pengurangan sisa material konstruksi. Implikasi riset ini adalah bahwa biaya investasi dari implementasi BIM dapat digunakan sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi sisa material proyek konstruksi. Peneliti menyarankan investasi Building Information Modeling (BIM) agar termasuk dalam rencana progam kerja jangka panjang perusahaan sehingga mendukung implementasi BIM dan upaya pengurangan sisa material konstruksi. Selain itu, metode pengurangan sisa material konstruksi yang menggunakan asumsi dan pengalaman proyek sebelumnya dapat dirubah dengan cara menggunakan keluaran dari perangkat lunak Building Information Modeling (BIM).
