Abstract

The main function of the KWh meter is to calculate electricity consumption. With the development of technology, the kWh meter has developed into an automatic measuring tool that can send the measurement results to the relevant consumer in real time with the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT). This study examines a system and devices that are used as monitoring and control of voltage, current, electric power and realtime bill estimation using a mobile device. The function of monitoring the use of electrical equipment and displaying current bills can function properly according to the expected hypothesis. The control function automatically uses load limits and manually uses the Android application in the use of electrical equipment so that the use of electrical equipment can be more controlled and efficient and can function properly according to the expected hypothesis. The use of electricity can be more efficient because from the results of tests and experiments it can be seen that if the use of electrical equipment exceeds the allowable current limit, the switch will be disconnected. And users can disconnect the switch from a distance if the user forgets to turn off electrical equipment so that electricity use is more efficient. Keywords: Smart metering, Internet of things, control, monitoring, efficient. Fungsi utama dari KWh meter ialah untuk menghitung pemakaian energi listrik. Dengan perkembangan teknologi, maka kWh meter berkembang menjadi suatu alat ukur otomatis yang bisa mengirimkan hasil pengukurannya kepada konsumen bersangkutan secara realtime dengan konseptual Internet Of Things (IoT). Penelitian ini mengkaji sebuah sistem dan perangkat yang digunakan sebagai monitoring dan kontrol tegangan, arus, daya listrik serta estimasi tagihan secara realtime menggunakan device handphone. Fungsi monitor penggunaan peralatan listrik dan menampilkan tagihan berjalan dapat berfungsi dengan baik sesuai hipotesis yang diharapkan. Fungsi kontrol secara otomatis menggunakan batas beban maupun manual menggunakan aplikasi android dalam penggunaan peralatan listrik agar penggunaan peralatan listrik bisa lebih terkontrol dan efisien dapat berfungsi dengan baik sesuai hipotesis yang diharapkan. Penggunaan listrik dapat lebih efisien dikarenakan dari hasil pengujian dan eksperimen dapat dilihat apabila penggunaan peralatan listrik melebihi batas arus yang dibolehkan maka saklar akan terputus. Serta pengguna dapat memutuskan saklar dari jarak jauh apabila pengguna lupa mematikan peralatan listrik sehingga penggunaan listrik lebih efisien.
