Abstract
The decline in the performance of the Officer Development Program (ODP) participants at X University Group during 2017 to 2019 became the background of this research. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of education and training, competence, and career development on the performance of ODP participants in X University Group. This study was conducted from August 2020 to May 2021. The total population of this study was 430 people with a sample of 240 respondents, and 233 respondents returned the questionnaire. The purposive sampling technique was used to collect 12 respondents from each 20 ODP classes as representations of the population. Data were analyzed by using multiple linear regressions with the help of SPSS software version 25.0 for Windows. The results showed that competence positively and significantly influenced the performance of ODP participants in X University Group and followed by education and training; meanwhile, career development as the least positively and significantltly influenced the performance of ODP participants in X University Group. The adjusted R square was 0.591, which means competence, education and training, and career development contribute 59.1% on the variances of ODP participants’ performance in X University Group. Penurunan kinerja peserta Officer Development Program (ODP) di X University Group selama tahun 2017 hingga 2019 menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi, dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja peserta ODP di X University Group. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2020 sampai dengan Mei 2021. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 430 orang dengan sampel 240 responden; kuesioner yang dikembalikan oleh responden sebanyak 233. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengumpulkan 12 responden dari masing-masing 20 kelas ODP sebagai representasi dari populasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 25.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja peserta ODP di X University Group, diikuti oleh pendidikan dan pelatihan; sedangkan pengembangan karir merupakan faktor yang paling tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja peserta ODP di X University Group. Adjusted R square sebesar 0,591 yang berarti kompetensi, pendidikan dan pelatihan, serta pengembangan karir memberikan kontribusi sebesar 59,1% terhadap kinerja peserta ODP di X University Group.
