Abstract

PT. Pulogadung Tempa Jaya is a specialist forging company that operates steel forging. The company experienced problems with defective products that exceeded the control limits obtained by control chart analysis of 34.48% for the period from January to April 2021. Therefore, the company tried to control the level of machine productivity and regular machine maintenance to reduce the number of defective products produced. by machine. As an effort to increase production efficiency, the company implemented Total Productive Maintenance by measuring the effectiveness of the forging machine on line 13 using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method. After that, we will measure the level of causes of product defects by calculating the six big losses. From the calculation results, the OEE value for the January – April 2021 period ranges from 9% to 86%. The ideal OEE value of 86% is only obtained during 4 months of production. The biggest factor that influences the OEE value and is a priority for elimination on the forging line 13 machine is the die scratch factor of 60 incidents or 34.48%. And chipped dies are in second place with the highest number of causes of product defects with 45 incidents or 25.86% of the total causes of product defects with 174 incidents or 100% of the total causes of product defects. Keywords : efficiency, forging, product defects, OEE, control chart. PT. Pulogadung Tempa Jaya merupakan perusahaan spesialis forging yang bergerak steel forging. Perusahaan mengalami permasalahan produk cacat yang melebihi batas kontrol yang didapatkan dengan analisi peta kendali sebesar 34,48% periode januari sampai April 2021. Maka dari pada itu perusahaan berusaha untuk mengontrol tingkat produktivitas mesin dan pemeliharaan mesin secara berkala demi menekan angka produk cacat yang di hasilkan oleh mesin. Sebagai usaha peningkatan efisiesnsi produksi, perusahaan melakukan penerapan Total Productive Maintenance dengan melakukan pengukuran efektifitas mesin forging pada line 13 menggunakan metode OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Setelah itu maka akan di lakukan pengukuran tingkatan penyebab produk mengalami produk cacat dengan cara perhitungan six big losses. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai OEE pada periode Januari – April 2021 berkisar antara 9% sampai 86%. Nilai OEE ideal sebesar 86% hanya di peroleh selama 4 bulan produksi. Faktor terbesar yang mempengaruhi nilai OEE dan menjadi prioritas untuk di eleminasi pada mesin forging line 13 adalah faktor dies baret sebanyak 60 kejadian atau sebesar 34.48%. Dan dies gompal berada di urutan kedua dari kejadian tertinggi dari penyebab produk cacat sebanyak 45 kejadian atau sebesar 25.86% dari jumlah penyebab cacat produk sebanyak 174 kejadian atau 100% keseluruhan penyebab cacat produk.
