Abstract

Various types of content are created and disseminated on Instagram social media, one of which is educational content. Educational content functions to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding social issues that occur, one of which is sexual violence. The object studied in this study is educational content on the Instagram account @Dearcatcallers.id regarding issues surrounding violence and sexual harassment. Instagram is currently the most widely used social media by the people of Indonesia because it focuses on visual content such as photos and videos that are presented in the form feeds. One type of content found on Instagram is educational content. Researchers are interested in studying audience reception regarding sexual violence educational content on the Instagram account @Dearcatcallers.id. The purpose of doing research this is to find out and analyze audience reception in interpreting educational content about sexual violence on the Instagram account @Dearcatcallers.id. This study uses a constructivism paradigm with a qualitative approach and uses reception analysis research methods. Subjects in this study consisted of six informants. Data collection techniques in this study included primary data in the form of in-depth interviews and secondary data in the form of documentation and literature review. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The data validity checking technique used is source triangulation. The results showed that there were two categories that emerged from the informants (audience) in interpreting educational content about sexual violence on the Instagram account @Dearcatcallers.id, namely dominant and negotiation categories. The audience's interpretation of all the elements in the sexual violence education content, account @Dearcatcallers.id, falls into the dominant category. Keywords: Reception Analysis, Educational Content, Instagram Berbagai jenis konten diciptakan dan disebarluaskan di media sosial Instagram, salah satunya adalah konten edukasi. Konten edukasi berfungsi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait isu-isu sosial yang terjadi, salah satunya kekerasan seksual. Objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah konten edukasi pada akun Instagram @Dearcatcallers.id terkait isu seputar kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual. Instagram saat ini menjadi media sosial yang paling banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia karena berfokus pada konten visual seperti foto dan video yang disajikan dalam bentuk feeds. Salah satu jenis konten yang terdapat pada Instagram adalah konten edukasi. Peneliti tertarik untuk mengkaji resepsi khalayak mengenai konten edukasi kekerasan seksual pada akun Instagram @Dearcatcallers.id. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis resepsi khalayak dalam memaknai konten edukasi tentang kekerasan seksual pada akun Instagram @Dearcatcallers.id. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode penelitian analisis resepsi. Subjek pada penelitian ini terdiri dari enam informan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi data primer berupa hasil wawancara mendalam dan data sekunder berupa dokumentasi dan tinjauan literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Adapun teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, ditemukan dua kategori yang muncul dari informan (khalayak) dalam memaknai konten edukasi tentang kekerasan seksual pada akun Instagram @Dearcatcallers.id, yaitu kategori dominan dan negosiasi. Pemaknaan khalayak terhadap keseluruhan unsur pada konten edukasi kekerasan seksual akun @Dearcatcallers.id masuk ke dalam kategori dominan. Kata Kunci: Analisis Resepsi, Konten Edukasi, Instagram
