Abstract

This study aims to examine the "Analysis of the Application of Accounting Information Systems and Utilization of Information Technology on the Quality of Financial Reports" case studies at PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa. This research uses a descriptive method. The sample used in this study was PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of the research analysis, the application of accounting information systems at PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa is good enough to produce quality financial reports and has been running in accordance with existing theory and practice. In addition, the use of information technology also supports the application of accounting information systems. Utilization of information technology on the quality of financial reports has a good impact, namely by utilizing this information technology financial reports become systematic starting from processing data and accounting transactions. Although companies must also pay attention to technology management issues in terms of network systems, problems sometimes still occur when working from home (WFH). Keywords: Accounting Information System, Information Technology, Financial Report Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji “Analisis Penerapan Sistem Informasi Akuntansi dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi” studi kasus pada PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil analisis penelitian penerapan sistem informasi akuntansi pada PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa sudah cukup baik dan sudah berjalan sesuai dengan teori serta praktek yang ada. Selain itu pemanfaatan teknologi informasi juga mendukung dalam penerapan sistem informasi akuntansi. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi terhadap kualitas laporan keuangan memberikan dampak yang baik yaitu dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi ini laporan keuangan menjadi sistematis mulai dari pengolahan data-data dan transaksi akuntansi. Walaupun perusahaan juga harus memperhatikan masalah pengelolaan teknologi dalam hal sistem jaringan yang terkadang masih terjadi masalah ketika dilakukan work from home (WFH).
