Abstract

New normal is a new adaptation to deal with Covid-19, where people are again allowed to do activities in the workforce while still adhering to the protocol. In this new normal situation, work engagement is a challenge for all companies. The purpose of this study was to determine whether job cafting has a relationship with work engagement and to determine whether employee well-being has a role as a moderator between job crafting and work engagement in the new normal era. The subjects of this research are employees who work in Jabodetabek. The instruments used in this study are the Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES), the Job Crafting Scale (JCS), and the Employee Well-Being Scale (EWBS). The research design was carried out with moderation using accidental sampling technique. Moderated regression analysis in this study used the PROCESS V3.5 Procedure for SPSS by Andrew F. Hayes. The results showed that job crafting had a positive correlation with work engagement, and employee well-being had a moderate role in the relationship between job crafting and work engagement. This research is expected to be literary material for employees and companies regarding the importance of understanding the values of work engagement, job crafting, and employee well-being for the success of the company. Keywords: Work Engagement, Job Crafting, Employee Well-Being, New Normal, Employees New normal merupakan adaptasi baru untuk menghadapi covid-19, dimana masyarakat kembali diperbolehkan beraktivitas di lapangan kerja dengan tetap mematuhi protocol. Di situasi new normal ini, work engagement merupakan tantangan bagi semua perusahaan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah job cafting memiliki hubungan dengan work engagement dan untuk mengetahui apakah employee well-being berperan sebagai moderator antara job crafting dan work engagement karyawan di era new normal. Subjek penelitian ini ialah karyawan yang bekerja di Jabodetabek. Intrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES), Job Crafting Scale (JCS), dan Employee Well-Being Scale (EWBS). Desain penelitian dilakukan dengan moderasi menggunak teknik accidental sampling. Analisis regresi moderasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan PROCESS V3.5 Procedure for SPSS oleh Andrew F. Hayes. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa job crafting berkorelasi positif dengan work engagement, dan employee well-being berperan memoderasi dalam hubungan job crafting dan work engagement. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan literature bagi karyawan dan perusahaan terkait pentingnya memahami nilai-nilai pada work engagement, job crafting, dan employee well-being guna keberhasilan perusahaan.
