Abstract

PT. Adam Mandiri is an automotive manufacturing company that produces compact cars. This company carries out the car production process through several shops. One of the shops is Body Shop with a welding process or spot welding process. The purpose of this study is to reduce the dominant defect in the spot welding process. Defect identification is done using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control). The analysis stage is carried out using will pareto diagram tools and cause and effect diagrams (fishbone) and determine recommendations for improvement using FMEA (Failur Mode and Effects Analyze) by calculating RPN (Risk Priority Number) and 5W+1H. Based on the analysis using the Pareto diagram, it was found that the largest defect was the spatter defect, which was 80.4%. The results of this defect were analyzed more deeply using a causal diagram to be continued with the FMEA calculation table and the cause of the problem was obtained, namely there was no Off Center Tip Gun guide with an RPN score of 243. After the analysis, the proposed improvement was obtained by making a Guiden Off Center Tip Gun with Control in the form of Check Sheet and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). Keywords : DMAIC, FMEA, RPN, 5W+1H. PT. Adam Mandiri adalah perusahaan manufaktur otomotif yang memproduksi mobil compact. Perusahaan ini melakukan proses produksi mobil melalui beberapa shop. Salah satu dari shop adalah Body Shop dengan proses pengelasan atau proses spot welding. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi defect yang dominan pada proses spot welding. Pengidentifikasian defect dilakukan dengan menggunakan DMAIC ( Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve dan Control). Tahap analisa dilakukan menggunakan tools diagram pareto dan diagram sebab akibat (fishbone) serta menentukan rekomendasi perbaikan menggunakan FMEA ( Failur Mode and Effect Analyze) dengan menghitung RPN ( Risk Priority Number ) dan 5W+1H. Berdasarkan analisa menggunakan diagram pareto, ditemukan defect terbesar itu adalah defect spatter yaitu sebesar 80,4%. Hasil defect ini dianalisis lebih dalam menggunakan diagram sebab akibat untuk dilanjutkan dengan tabel perhitungan FMEA dan didapat penyebab permasalahan yaitu tidak ada guiden Off Center Tip Gun dengan score RPN sebesar 243. Setelah dilakukan analisis, diperoleh usulan perbaikan yaitu dengan membuat Guiden Off Center Tip Gun dengan Control berupa Check Sheet dan Standar Operational Procedure (SOP).
