Abstract

PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (PT. IAMI) is the sole agent that produce Isuzu commercial vehicles with diesel engines. General Assembly Operation (GAO) is a part of the production department of PT. IAMI which has the main task of assembling vehicles to become finished products that can be sold to customers. Based on GAO's performance index data July - December 2020 period, there were points that not achieved as target (cost performance) where from the <2% target, the actual achievement was only 3.4% of which 1.7% of 3.4% problem came from the GAO KIT area. Therefore, the improvement were made using the Kaizen method and combine with other tools (seven tools, work design analysis, time and motion study and anthropometry) so that it was known the main problem is no process for PTV Trimming Cabin NS component at PT. IAMI. So the improvements is made inhouse process for PTV Trimming Cabin NS component at PT. IAMI, and finally efficiency GAO's cost performance increased from 3.4% to 2.6% and in terms of investment analysis using the Net Present Value (NPV) method, it is feasible and profitable Rp 1.735.200.000 / year. IAMI) merupakan Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merk (ATPM) serta perakitan kendaraan komersil Isuzu bermesin diesel. General Assembly Operation (GAO) merupakan salah satu bagian dari departemen produksi PT. IAMI yang memiliki tugas utama melakukan perakitan kendaraan hingga menjadi finish produk yang bisa dijual ke costumer. Berdasarkan data index performance GAO periode Juli – Desember 2020 terdapat poin yang tidak tercapai yaitu pada cost performance, dimana dari target < 2% actual pencapaian hanya 3.4% yang mana 1.7% dari 3.4% ini berasal dari area KIT GAO. Oleh karena itu dilakukan perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode Kaizen serta bantuan tools lainnya (seven tools, analisa perancangan kerja, time and motion study dan antropometri) sehingga diketahui permasalahan utamanya adalah belum adanya proses untuk komponen PTV Trimming Cabin NS di PT. IAMI. Adapun perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan inhouse process untuk komponen PTV Trimming Cabin NS di PT. IAMI, sehingga efesiensi cost performance GAO meningkat dari 3.4% menjadi 2.6% dan secara analisa investasi dengan menggunakan metode Net Present Value (NPV) layakk dan menguntungkan sebesar Rp 1.735.200.000 / tahun. Kata Kunci: Kaizen, Seven Tools, Analisa Perancangan Kerja, Antropometri, Time and Motion Study, Net Present Value.
