Abstract
PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk or also known as PT GMFAA is a company that provides repair and maintenance services for various types of aircraft. The Component Store Unit (TMW-5) in the GADC Unserviceable Warehouse section or also called Gudang 3000 is a temporary storage warehouse or transit warehouse for unserviceable parts waiting for complete documents to be sent to the Local Workshop or to be exported to a Repair Station which has an area of 309m2 with an area of 309m2. the original calculation of the building is 389.7m2 or 21.65m x 18m x 5m. This warehouse has a problem, namely the storage of goods that are irregular and unorganized, so that they have difficulty in the process of searching and retrieving goods when needed. The Class Based Storage method can help the storage process by abc analysis dividing goods into three classes based on the frequency of goods in and out of the warehouse, and changes in warehouse layout. After evaluation and improvement of the warehouse layout, the distance of the travel area becomes shorter, the layout of the goods is neatly arranged and arranged according to the class and the search process can be faster with the distance of proposed 1is 581.23m and proposed 2 is 616m. PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk atau dikenal juga dengan PT GMFAA adalah perusahaan yang memberikan layanan perbaika dan perawatan untuk berbagai jenis pesawat. Unit Component Store (TMW-5) dibagian Gudang GADC Unserviceable atau disebut juga Gudang 3000 adalah sebuah gudang penyimpanan sementara atau gudang intransit untuk part unserviceable yang menunggu kelengkapan dokumen untuk dikirim ke Local Workshop maupun untuk di Export ke Repair Station yang memiliki luas 309m2 dengan luas perhitungan asli bangunan adalah 389,7m2 atau 21,65m x 18m x 5m. Gudang ini memiliki permasalahan yaitu penyimpanan barang yang tidak beraturan dan tidak tertata, sehingga mengalami kesulitan saat proses pencarian dan pengambilan barang saat dibutuhkan. Metode Class Based Storage dapat membantu proses penyimpanan dengan analisis abc membagi barang menjadi tiga kelas berdasarkan frekuensi keluar masuk barang digudang, dan perubahan tata letak gudang. Setelah dilakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan dari tata letak gudang, jarak area tempuh menjadi lebih singkat, tata letak barang tersusun rapi dan tertata sesuai dengan kelasnya dan proses pencarian dapat menjadi lebih cepat dengan jarak tempuh usulan 1 sebesar 581.23m dan usulan 2 sebesar 616m.
