Abstract
In the delivery of material to the production department, it is very necessary to have the right time and fast because it is to expedite the production process so that each desired target is achieved. TAFT1 product is a product that has a high target, of course it will greatly affect production if it takes too long in the weighing process. Especially in simethicone material which causes a long weighing process. This research uses the value engineering method by developing five stages, namely the information stage, the creative stage, the analysis stage, the development stage and the presentation stage, or better known as the five phases of the job plan. From the results of the study shows that the root cause of the problem of the simethicone weighing process, the weighing material is difficult to do double plastic, difficult to handle material, the location of the bucket taking process is far from the weighing location, so a press device is designed for the weighing process and is able to reduce the standard time from 49, 70 to 18.43 minutes, so that the use of these tools can save manpower costs of Rp. 929,775, - / month, or in a year Rp. 11,157,300, -. Keywords : value engineering, waktu baku, five fase job plan, device Dalam pengiriman material untuk dapartemen produksi sangatlah dibutuhkan waktu yang tepat dan cepat karena untuk memperlancar proses produksi agar setiap target yang diinginkan tercapai. Produk TAFT1 merupakan produk yang memiliki target tinggi tentu sangat berpengaruh terhadap produksi apabila terlalu lama pada proses penimbangan. Khususnya pada material simethicone yang menyebabkan lamanya proses penimbangan. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode value engineering dengan mengembangkan lima tahapan, yaitu tahap informasi, tahap kreatif, tahap analisa, tahap pengembangan dan tahap presentasi, atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah five fase job plan. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa akar penyebab masalah proses penimbangan simethicone material hasil timbang sulit untuk dilakukan double plastik, Sulit melakukan handling material, lokasi proses pengambilan ember jauh dari lokasi penimbangan, maka dirancanglah sebuah alat press untuk proses penimbangan dan mampu menurunkan waktu baku dari dari 49,70 menjadi 18,43 menit, sehingga dalam penggunaan alat bantu tersebut dapat menghemat cost man power sebesar Rp. 929.775,- /bulan, atau dalam setahun Rp. 11.157.300,-.
