Abstract

PT X is a company that concern in manufacturing industry that produces bias tires. Production due to the increasing customer demand so that PT X must increase production targets in order to meet customer demand. But, many constraint factors interfere the production process. This study is to calculate and analyze the effectiveness of Squeegee machines using the OEE method, identifying factors causing the low effectiveness of Squeegee machines and providing solutions to improve the effectiveness of Squeegee Machines. This research was conducted in Production Department Squeegee Section which data used is machine breakdown, machine operation time, total production, machine speed, and production scrap data. The data were processed by OEE method and analyzed with pareto diagram, fishbone diagram and FMEA. The results of this study show that the average OEE of ASQ-1, 2, 3 and ASQ-5 Squeegee machines on October 2018 - March 2019 is below the ideal value (≤ 85%), so the effectiveness of the Squeegee machines is very low. The main factor is the value of availability ratio that is below the ideal value (≤ 95%) caused by one of the causes of the problem of setup and adjustment losses, which is often and the length of time to change the width and thickness of the compound layer. Keywords: Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Efectifitas, availability ratio, setup and asjustment losses PT X adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri manufakturing yang memproduksi ban bias. Menghadapi meningkatnya permintaan customer PT X harus meningkatkan produksi agar dapat memenuhi permintaan customer. Berbagai faktor kendala produksi sering terjadi dan menghambat proses produksi sehingga target produksi tidak tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung dan menganalisis efektifitas mesin Squeegee dengan menggunakan metode OEE, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya efektifitas mesin Squeegee dan memberikan solusi perbaikan untuk meningkatkan efektifitas mesin Squeegee. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Departement Produksi Section Squeegee dengan data yang digunakan adalah data breakdown mesin, waktu operasi mesin, total produksi, speed mesin, dan data scrap produksi. Keseluruhan data tersebut diolah dengan metode OEE dan dianalisis dengan diagram pareto, fishbone diagram dan FMEA. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai OEE mesin Squeegee ASQ-1, 2, 3 dan ASQ-5 pada bulan Oktober 2018 – Maret 2019 berada dibawah nilai ideal (≤ 85%), sehingga nilai efektifitas mesin Squeegee rendah. Faktor penyebab yang utama adalah nilai availability ratio yang berada di bawah nilai ideal (≤ 95 %) yang disebabkan oleh faktor setup and adjustment losses, yaitu sering dan lama waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk set up ganti lebar dan tebal lapisan compound.
