Abstract
Quality is an important factor that influences consumer choice in using different types of products and services. Companies must have an advantage over the quality of the products produced in order for their products to compete and have a competitive advantage. This study aims to find out what factors affect the quality of the product and recommend improvements in product quality. In this product quality analysis research will use the Seven Tools method to find out the defective product (reject) in machinery part PT. Santoso Teknindo. From the observations made, reject products in machinery part using the Seven tools method obtained the largest number of non-compliant size defect products of 88 pcs in July 2019 with a percentage of 0.09%. While from the cause-and-effect diagram can be seen the cause of defective products from human factors. By looking at the results of data processing and analysis it can be known that defects that often occur are inappropriate sizes. And to improve the kualitaas of machinery part production process in PT. Santoso Teknindo needs to be improved with the implementation of the Seven Tools method. Keywords: Seven Tools, Product Quality, production process Kualitas merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi pilihan konsumen dalam menggunakan berbagai jenis produk dan jasa. Perusahaan harus memiliki keunggulan terhadap kualitas produk yang dihasilkan agar produk mereka dapat bersaing dan memiliki keunggulan yang kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kualitas produk dan merekomendasikan perbaikan kualitas produk. Pada penelitian analisa kualitas produk ini akan menggunakan metode Seven Tools untuk mengetahui produk cacat (reject) pada machinery part PT. Santoso Teknindo. Dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan, produk reject pada machinery part menggunakan metode Seven tools diperoleh jumlah produk cacat ukuran tidak sesuai terbanyak sebesar 88 pcs pada bulan Juli 2019 dengan presentase 0,09%. Sementara dari diagram sebab-akibat dapat dilihat penyebab produk cacat dari faktor manusia. Dengan melihat hasil pengolahan data dan analisa dapat diketahui bahwa cacat yang sering terjadi adalah ukuran tidak sesuai. Dan untuk meningkatkan kualitaas proses produksi machinery part di PT. Santoso Teknindo perlu dilakukan perbaikan dengan penerapan metode Seven Tools Kata Kunci: Seven Tools, Kualitas Produk, proses produksi
