Abstract

The need for people gate is often applied at the entrance to public places, for example; entrance gates for train stations, bus terminals, airports, recreation areas, office buildings, and busway stops. In the case of busway stops, several minitrans buses with certain routes do not make stops, and depart at special busway stops where there are no people gates. Thus, passengers boarding the bus only do card tapping (pay fares) on the bus without any barriers between passengers who have paid and those who have not. In this study, a people gate prototype was designed to be applied in minitrans bus cabins. The gate system is designed to open the bar with a duration of 0.8 seconds after the passenger makes a payment using a card, and closes again after the passenger passes through the gate, and the proximity sensor on the gate sends a signal to the controller to close the bar. The crossbar drive motor is designed to use a 62 Watt BLDC type electric motor. Design & simulation of tool movement using Solidworks 2022 Software. The results of the prototype design research that has been made will later be applied to minitrans buses in Indonesia. Keywords: People gate, prototype, bldc motor Penggunaan people gate sering diaplikasikan pada pintu masuk tempat umum, semisal; gerbang masuk stasiun kereta, terminal bus, bandara, tempat-tempat rekreasi, gedung perkantoran, dan halte busway. Pada kasus halte busway, beberapa bus minitrans dengan rute tertentu tidak melakukan pemberhentian, dan pemberangkatan pada halte khusus busway yang tidak terdapat people gate. Sehingga, penumpang yang menaiki bus tersebut hanya melakukan tapping kartu (membayar tarif) di dalam bus tanpa ada penghalang antara penumpang yang sudah membayar dengan yang belum. Dalam penelitian ini, didesain prototype people gate untuk diaplikasikan dalam kabin bus minitrans. Sistem gate dirancang untuk membuka palang dengan durasi 0,8 detik setelah penumpang melakukan pembayaran menggunakan kartu, dan menutup kembali setelah penumpang melewati gate, dan sensor proximity pada gate mengirimkan sinyal ke controller untuk menutup palang. Untuk motor penggerak palang dirancang menggunakan motor listrik tipe BLDC 62 Watt. Desain & simulasi pergerakan alat menggunakan Software Solidworks 2022. Hasil dari penelitian rancang bangun prototype yang telah dibuat nantinya akan diaplikasikan pada bus minitrans di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: People gate, prototype, bldc motor
