Abstract

Quality control is an activity carried out to ensure that production and operational activities are carried out in accordance with what was planned, and if deviations occur, these deviations can be corrected so that what is expected can be achieved. Companies must be able to improve the quality of their products or services to maintain customer trust, even though in reality there are always quality products or services that do not meet the standards set by the company or in other words the product has a defect. The standard defect of company is 1% of the total production amount. This research was conducted at an automotive spare part component company. The method used in this study is the PDCA cycle. There are three defect components that occur in rear axle products, namely brake assembly, oil, and gasket. The component that has the highest percentage is the brake assembly component with a percentage of 71.4% of the total product defects. This research uses Tools Check sheet, Pareto diagram, Fishbone diagram, and 5W+1H. The results of the research conducted show that the defects that occur are caused by human factors, methods, and machines. The results of the improvements proposed and carried out to reduce defects in the brake assy are making warning points, making training schedules, conducting training, making detection devices on the IRB, updating SOPs, and making pins as stoper bearings. With the repairs that have been made, the defect in the brake assembly component has decreased to 29.1%. Keywords: PDCA, Check Sheet, Pareto Diagram, Fishbone, 5W+1H. Pengendalian kualitas adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk menjamin agar kegiatan produksi dan operasi yang di laksanakan sesuai dengan apa yang direncanakan, dan apabila terjadi penyimpangan maka penyimpangan tersebut dapat dikoreksi sehingga apa yang diharapkan dapat tercapai. Perusahaan harus mampu meningkatkan kualitas produk atau jasanya untuk mempertahankan kepercayaan pelanggan, walaupun pada kenyataanya selalu ada kualitas produk atau jasa yang tidak sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan atau dengan kata lain produk tersebut mengalami defect. Standar defect dari perusahaan adalah 1% dari total jumlah produksi, penelitian ini dilakukan di perusahaan komponen spare part otomotif. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah PDCA cycle. Terdapat tiga komponen defect yang terjadi pada produk rear axle, yaitu brake assy, oil, dan gasket. Komponen yang memiliki persentase tertinggi yaitu pada komponen brake assy dengan persentase 71,4% dari keseluruhan total defect produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan Tools Check sheet, Diagram pareto, Diagram Fishbone, dan 5W+1H. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa defect yang terjadi disebabkan oleh faktor manusia, metode, dan mesin. Hasil perbaikan yang diusulkan dan dilakukan untuk menurunkan defect pada brake assy adalah membuat warning point, membuat jadwal training, melakukan training, membuat alat pendeteksi pada IRB, SOP diperbarui, dan membuat pin sebagai stoper bearing. Dengan perbaikan yang telah dilakukan defect komponen brake assy menurun menjadi 29,1%. Kata Kunci: PDCA, Check Sheet, Diagram Pareto, Fishbone, 5W+1H.
