Abstract

Everyone generally moves from one place to another where they will go. The mode of transportation is a way to move from a place. Walking is the most basic mode of transportation and can be done by everyone. Therefore, facilities are needed to support pedestrian activities. Pelican cross is a type of level crossing with traffic lights used by road crossers which aims to provide safety to pedestrians and provide convenience for groups of office workers, vulnerable (elderly, children, and people with disabilities) and society in general. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the pelican cross for road crossers. Based on the survey results in the field by making observations and inventories, it was found that the road equipment and infrastructure facilities on the Pelican Cross on the road section located on Jalan Bouluevard Bintaro Jaya are functioning properly, where the number of road users crossing using the Pelican Cross is compared to who don't use it. This can be seen from the results of the calculation of the level of compliance of road crossers when there is a crossing at the Pelican Cross, which is 92.5% and those who do not use it are 7.5%. The traffic signal signaling device (APILL) on the road section on Jalan Bouluevard Bintaro Jaya is functioning properly, it is indicated as from the results of field observations, while the data from the calculation results can be obtained for the effectiveness level of the pelican cross itself, namely the compliance rate for riders passing the pelican cross is equal to. 72.38%, where the results serve as a benchmark to determine the effectiveness of the pelican cross Keywords: Analysis, Effectiveness, application, crossing, Pelican crossing. Setiap orang pada umumnya berpindah dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain yang akan mereka tuju. Moda transportasi menjadi cara untuk berpindah dari suatu tempat. Berjalan kaki menjadi moda transportasi paling mendasar dan dapat dilakukan semua orang. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan fasilitas untuk menunjang aktivitas pejalan kaki. Pelican cross merupakan jenis penyeberangan sebidang dengan lampu lalu lintas yang digunakan oleh penyeberang jalan yang bertujuan memberikan keselamatan kepada penyeberang dan memberikan kemudahan bagi kelompok pekerja kantoran, rentan (lansia, anak-anak, dan penyandang disabilitas) dan masyarakat pada umumnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas pelican cross bagi penyeberang jalan. Berdasarkan hasil survai di lapangan dengan melakukan observasi dan inventarisasi, di dapatkan bahwa fasilitas perlengkapan dan prasarana jalan pada pelican cross pada Ruas jalan yang berada di ruas Jalan Bouluevard Bintaro Jaya berfungsi dengan baik, dimana banyaknya pengguna jalan yang menyeberang dengan menggunakan pelican cross di banding dengan yang tidak menggunakannya. Hal itu dilihat dari hasil perhitungan tingkat kepatuhan penyeberang jalan ketika sedang terjadi penyeberangan di pelican cross yakni sebesar 92.5% dan yang yang tidak menggunakannya sebesar 7.5%. Alat pemberi isyarat lalu lintas (APILL) pada Ruas jalan yang berada di ruas Jalan Bouluevard Bintaro Jaya berfungsi dengan baik hal itu terindikasi sebagaiana dari hasil pengamatan di lapangan.Sementara dari data dari hasil perhitungan di dapat untuk tingkat efektivitas pelican cross itu sendiri efektif, yaitu tingkat kepatuhan pengendara yang melewati pelican cross adalah sebesar. 72,38%, dimana hasil itu sebagai patokan untuk menentukan efektivitas penerapan pelican cross Kata kunci: Analisis, Efektivitas, penerapan, penyeberangan, Pelikan.
