Abstract

Antena metasurface salah satu antena yang beberapa tahun terakhir ini popular karena memiliki keunggulan dan memenuhi permintaan akan antena yang kecil dan ringan. Antena merupakan salah satu elemen penting dalam komunikasi nirkabel antara dua user atau lebih yang ingin berkomunikasi. Antena metasurface merupakan konsep baru dalam antena permukaan, yang memanfaatkan batas periodik setiap sel satuan radiasi untuk mengelompokkan satuan radiasi dalam ruang yang lebih padat. Dimensi metasurface yang sangat tipis serta ukurannya yang cukup kecil serta kemampuannya dalam mengandalikan gelombang elektromagnetik, metasurface dikenal sebagai permukaan reflektif sebagian digunakan untuk meningkatkan directivity. Antena yang dirancang pada penelitian Tugas Akhir ini adalah antena metasurface yang diusulkan dengan permukaan berlubang tambalan logam persegi 6x4, menggunakan bahan substrate FR4-Epoxy Double Layer, serta dalam mendemonstrasikan antena ini berbasis papan sirkuit tercetak (PCB). Untuk proses simulasi antena menggunakan perangkat lunak ANSYS Electronics Desktop HFSS Ver 2018, dari hasil simulasi diperoleh nilai return loss sebesar -11.3210 dB pada frekuensi 26,0 GHz dan hasil pengukuran return loss sebesar -13.592 dB pada frekuensi 21,16 GHz artinya baik simulasi dan pengukuran sudah memenuhi spesifikasi dari antena ≤ −10 dB diperoleh. Kata Kunci : Antena Metasurface, Return loss Metasurface antenna is one of the most popular antennas in recent years because it has advantages and fulfills the demand for small and light antennas. Antenna is one of the important elements in wireless communication between two or more users who want to communicate. The metasurface antenna is a new concept in surface antennas, which utilizes the periodic boundaries of each radiation unit cell to group radiation units in a more compact space. The dimensions of the metasurface are very thin as well as its small size and its ability to control electromagnetic waves, the metasurface is known as a partially reflective surface used to increase directivity. The antena designed in this final project is a proposed metasurface antena with a 6x4 square metal patch perforated surface, using FR4-Epoxy Double Layer substrate material, and in demonstrating this antena is based on a printed circuit board (PCB). For the antena simulation process using ANSYS Electronics Desktop HFSS Ver 2018 software, the simulation results obtained a return loss value of 11.3210 dB at a frequency of 26.0 GHz and a return loss measurement result of 13.592 dB at a frequency of 21.16 GHz, meaning that both the simulation and the measurement meets the specifications of the antena ≤ −10 dB is obtained.
