Abstract
PT. Usaha Saudara Mandiri is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in the Heater sector, namely producing heating elements with superior products, namely Ceramic Heaters, Tubular Heaters, Immerson Heaters, and Cartridge Heaters. Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe is one of the raw materials used in the manufacture of heaters. Inventory control system in PT. Usaha Saudara Mandiri has not been implemented optimally where the company places orders based on estimates which causes a high amount of remaining inventory (over stock). The purpose of this research is to obtain optimal inventory control conditions from the results of a comparison of the Continuous Review System (Q) Method and the Periodic Review System (P) Method and choose the best method based on the minimum total cost. Data collection was carried out in January – December 2022. The results of the analysis using the Q method, the purchase frequency is 2 times with a total purchase of 3558 Pcs of material, the company is able to save inventory costs of Rp. 8,614,160 or generates an efficiency of 34%, for method P, the total cost of inventory issued increases by Rp. 50,031,179 to Rp. 75,102,081 or 1.99% of the total inventory costs incurred by the company. Usaha Saudara Mandiri merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang Heater yaitu memproduksi elemen-elemen pemanas dengan produk unggulan yaitu Ceramic Heater, Tubular Heater, Immerson Heater, dan Catridge Heater. Pipa Stainless Steel Seamless merupakan salah satu bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan heater. Sistem pengendalian persediaan di PT. Usaha Saudara Mandiri belum terlaksana secara optimal dimana perusahaan melakukan pemesanan berdasarkan perkiraan yang menyebabkan besarnya sisa persediaan (Over stock) yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh kondisi optimal pengendalian persediaan dari hasil perbandingan Metode Continous Review System (Q) dan Metode Periodic Review System (P) dan memilih metode terbaik berdasarkan minimum total cost. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Desember 2022. Hasil analisis menggunakan metode Q, frekuensi pembelian sebanyak 2 kali dengan jumlah pembelian material sebanyak 3558 Pcs, maka perusahaan mampu menghemat biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 8.614.160 atau menghasilkan efisiensi sebesar 34%, untuk metode P, total biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan naik sebesar Rp. 50.031.179 menjadi Rp. 75.102.081 atau sebesar 1,99% dari total biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan.
