Abstract

Sekarang ini asuransi menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, salah satunya adalah asuransi kendaraan. Tingginya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya mengasuransikan aset kendaraan mereka menuntut perusahaan asuransi untuk dapat menangani kebutuhan asuransi dari masyarakat dengan efektif dan efisien untuk memudahkan proses pengajuan ataupun terlebih dalam hal perpanjangan asuransi. Salah satu perusahaan asuransi dengan produk asuransi unggulannya adalah asuransi kendaraan yaitu PT. ABC, perusahaan ini masih sangat tradisional dalam proses menentukan kelayakan suatu kendaraan untuk perpanjangan asuransi. Di mana proses pengajuan perpanjangan asuransi kendaraan yang kurang efektif dan efisien dikarenakan surat menyurat elektronik (e-mail) dari marketing ke head marketing atau bagian teknik memakan waktu yang cukup lama. Hadirnya teknologi dan informasi diharapkan dapat menunjang operasional perusahaan dan juga mengembangkan produksi penjualan asuransi kendaraan PT. ABC. Dengan membuat sistem keputusan untuk menentukan kelayakan perpanjangan asuransi kendaraan, serta memberikan syarat-syarat dan kondisi yang terbaru untuk perpanjangan polis tersebut. Pada kasus ini algoritma pohon keputusan (decision tree) yang digunakan adalah Algoritma C4.5. Dengan algoritma C4.5 nantinya dapat mengeksplorasi data dan menemukan hubungan tersembunyi antara sejumlah calon variabel input dengan variabel target. Nantinya dari dataset produk asuransi kendaraan di tahun 2021 akan dilakukan preparation data dan cleansing data untuk mendapatkan data yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat pohon keputusan, setelah itu data diolah menggunakan metode algortima C4.5 dengan menentukan apakah polis-polis dapat diperpanjang atau tidak[14], dan jika dapat diperpanjang apakah syarat-syarat dan kondisi terbarunya. Kata kunci: asuransi kendaraan, polis, algoritma C4.5, decision tree. Now insurance has become a very important thing in everyday life, one of which is vehicle insurance. The high public awareness of the importance of insuring their vehicle assets requires insurance companies to be able to handle insurance needs from the community effectively and efficiently to facilitate the application process or especially in terms of insurance extensions. One of the insurance companies with superior insurance products is vehicle insurance, namely PT. ABC, this company is still very traditional in the process of determining the eligibility of a vehicle for insurance renewal. Where the process of applying for a vehicle insurance extension is less effective and efficient due to electronic correspondence (e-mail) from marketing to the marketing head or the engineering department which takes quite a long time. The presence of technology and information is expected to support the company's operations and also develop the production of vehicle insurance sales of PT. ABC. By making a decision system to determine the feasibility of extending vehicle insurance, as well as providing the latest terms and conditions for the extension of the policy. In this case, the decision tree algorithm used is the C4.5 algorithm. With the C4.5 algorithm, it will be able to explore the data and find hidden relationships between a number of candidate input variables and the target variable. Later, from the vehicle insurance product dataset in 2021, data preparation and data cleansing will be carried out to obtain the data needed to make a decision tree, after that the data is processed using the C4.5 algorithm method by determining whether the policies can be extended or not, and if they can extended whether the latest terms and conditions.
