Abstract

Tower BTS (Base Transceiver Station) is a Tower structure that is useful for supporting a set of wireless telecommunications equipment as a means of connecting between user devices and networks or connecting between networks. BTS Towers are classified into 2, namely steel and concrete BTS Towers. The height of the Tower that is made depends on the location of the Tower itself. The Tower is designed according to the signal coverage needs to be served, the signal from the operator to the consumer's cell phone is blocked by hills or tall buildings, so a Tower with a certain height is needed so that the signal emitted is not obstructed by these things. This study was conducted by comparing the performance of the 3-foot SST Tower and the 4-foot Tower which has a height of 70 meters and has the same wind load and antenna load on the Tower structure. For structural analysis using the MSTower V6.20.1.11 program, as an application to simplify telecommunication Tower modeling. The purpose of writing this final project is clarity in the selection of Tower construction structurally in the selection of Tower construction. The calculation results for the 3-foot Tower weight is 7823.04 kg, for the 4-foot Tower is 10617.67 kg. The 3-foot Tower weight is more economical in planning because it has a lighter weight than the 4-foot Tower. The average capacity ratio of a 3-foot Tower is 0.2557 and 4 feet is 0.2293, in terms of the capacity ratio, a 4-foot Tower is more able to withstand the maximum device load than a 3-foot Tower, and for a 4-foot Tower deviation value, it is 0.148 and 3 feet 0.235, Tower 4 feet is safer for crossings than a 3 foot Tower Tower BTS (Base Transceiver Station) merupakan struktur Tower yang berguna untuk menopang seperangkat alat telekomunikasi wireless sebagai sarana penghubung antara alat pengguna dengan jaringan atau penghubung antar jaringan. Tower BTS jika digolongkan menjadi 2, yaitu Tower BTS baja dan beton. Ketinggian Tower yang dibuat tergantung dengan letak Tower itu sendiri. Tower dirancang sesuai dengan kebutuhan jangkauan sinyal yang ingin dilayani, sinyal dari operator menuju telepon seluler konsumen terhalang oleh bukit atau bangunan tinggi, sehingga dibutuhkan Tower dengan ketinggian tertentu agar sinyal yang dipancarkan tidak terhalang oleh hal-hal tersebut. Studi ini dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan performa dari Tower SST 3 kaki dan Tower 4 kaki yang memiliki ketinggian 70 meter dan memiliki beban angin dan beban antenna yang sama terhadap struktur Tower. Untuk analisa struktur menggunakan program MSTower V6.20.1.11, sebagai aplikasi untuk mempermudah dalam pemodelan Tower telekomunikasi. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah adanya kejelasan dalam pemilihan konstruksi Towersecara struktural dalam pemilihan konstruksi menara. Hasil perhitungan untuk berat Tower 3 kaki yaitu 7823.04 kg, untuk 4 kaki yaitu 10617.67 kg, Berat Tower kaki 3 lebih ekonomis dalam perencanaannya karena memiliki berat yang lebih ringan dari Tower 4 Kaki. Rata-rata kapasitas Rasio Tower 3 kaki yaitu 0.2557dan 4 kaki 0.2293, dari segi kapasitas rasio Tower 4 kaki lebih mampu menahan beban perangkat secara maksimal dari pada Tower 3 kaki, dan untuk nilai simpangan Tower 4 kaki yaitu 0.148 dan 3 kaki 0.235, Tower 4 kaki lebih aman untuk simpangannya daripada Tower 3 kaki.
