Abstract

ABSTRAK Nama : Muhammad Rasyid NIM : 41518310002 Program Studi : Teknik Informatika Judul Tugas Akhir : Implementasi Algoritma Cosine Similarity Dengan Metode TF-IDF Untuk Pengecekan Judul Skripsi Program Studi Informatika Universitas Mercu Buana Pembimbing TA : Leonard Goeirmanto, Dr., ST, M.Sc Dalam menentukan judul dan topik penelitian skripsi, mungkin akan terjadi adanya kemiripan antara judul skripsi satu dengan yang lainnya, baik disengaja maupun tidak disengaja. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menghindari indikasi adanya kesamaan judul. Karena mahasiswa mengajukan banyak judul setiap semester, diperlukan ketelitian dan upaya ekstra untuk melakukan perbandingan maupun memeriksa kemiripan judul. Namun, melakukan pengecekan secara manual akan memakan waktu dan tenaga yang lebih banyak. Mencari judul skripsi sebagai bagian dari menyelesaikan tugas akhir mahasiswa bisa dianggap sebagai tugas yang sulit maupun mudah. Dengan diimplementasikannya algoritma cosine similarity dengan metode TF-IDF dalam aplikasi, dosen dan mahasiswa dapat dengan mudah untuk melakukan pengecekan dan memastikan judul skripsi yang diajukan tidak sama dengan judul skripsi yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, diharapkan dapat melakukan pengecekan dan memastikan judul skripsi yang diajukan tidak sama dengan skripsi yang sudah ada sebelumnya. This is done to avoid any indication of the similarity of titles. Because students submit many titles every semester, it takes extra precision and effort to compare and check the similarity of titles. However, checking manually will take more time and energy. Looking for a thesis title as part of completing a student's final project can be considered a difficult or easy task. With the implementation of the cosine similarity algorithm with the TF-IDF method in the application, lecturers and students can easily check and ensure that the thesis title submitted is not the same as the previously existing thesis title. With this application, it is hoped that it can check and ensure that the title of the thesis submitted is not the same as the previously existing thesis.
