Abstract

ABSTRAK Crane sebagai salah satu sarana pesawat pengangkat atau pemindahan barang memiliki beberapa jenis antara lain: mobile crane, gantry crane, tower crane, overhead crane, jib crane dan lain-lain. Penggunaan overhead crane pada overhaul dipo depok PT. KAI Commuter untuk proses bubut vertikal keping roda kereta KRL masih mengalami beberapa kendala, seperti harus menunggu alat pengankut overhead crane tersebut dikarenakan proses penggunaan yang bergantian untuk pekerjaan lainnya. Penggunaan Jib crane dengan kapasitas 1 ton disarankan agar dapat membantu pekerja dalam proses bubut vertikal keping roda menjadi lebih cepat dan efektif. Penggunaan jib crane yang baru menjadi fokus yang utama untuk memastikan kelaikan dan juga factor safety dari jib crane tersebut. Terjadinya lendutan yang cukup besar ketika pengankatan material keping roda KRL menyebabkan rasa tidak nyaman dan ragu untuk menggunakan jib crane oleh operator. Kata kunci : Jib Crane, metode elemen hingga, tegangan minimum, tegangan maksimum, cycle. ABSTRACT Cranes as a means of lifting or moving goods have several types, including: mobile cranes, gantry cranes, tower cranes, overhead cranes, jib cranes and others. The use of overhead cranes at the Overhaul Dipo Depok PT. KAI Commuter for the vertical lathe process of KRL train wheels is still experiencing several obstacles, such as having to wait for the overhead crane carrier due to the process of using it alternately for other work. The use of Jib cranes with a capacity of 1 ton is recommended to help workers in the vertical wheel lathe process become faster and more effective. The use of the new jib crane is the main focus to ensure the feasibility and also the safety factor of the jib crane. The occurrence of a large enough deflection when lifting the KRL wheel pieces causes discomfort and doubts for the operator to use the jib crane.
