Abstract
cyanotype is one of the photographic printing techniques, this process was discovered by Sir John Hershel in 1842. cyanotype is the term print process of blue print or the process of printing with chemicals that will produce one color pigment which is blue. cyanotype is included in the non-silver printing category because it only uses metal chemistry, namely potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate which produce blue images so often referred to as blue print. In Indonesia, the cyanotype printing technique was developed at an Indonesian Art Institute, undergraduate degree majoring in photography, Record Arts Faculty, Yogyakarta. They have done many print experiments in various materials, such as paper, cloth, wood, and iron. There old printing techniques known as Old Print and cyanotype are known as blue print. Keywords: Bags, Cyanotype, Water Hyacinth. cyanotype merupakan salah satu teknik cetak fotografi, Proses ini ditemukan oleh Sir John Hershel pada tahun 1842. cyanotype merupakan istilah proses cetak blue print atau proses cetak dengan bahan kimia yang akan menghasilkan satu pigmen warna yaitu warna biru. cyanotype termasuk dalam golongan non silver printing karna hanya menggunakan kimia logam yaitu potassium ferricyanida dan ferric amonium citrate yang menghasilkan imaji berwarna biru sehingga sering juga disebut dengan istilah blue print. Di Indonesia sendiri teknik cetak cyanotype dikembangkan di sebuah Institut Seni Indonesia, jenjang S1 jurusan fotografi, Fakultas Seni Media Rekam, Yogyakarta. Mereka banyak melakukan berbagai eksperimen cetak di berbagai material, seperti kertas, kain, kayu, dan besi. Disana teknik cetak tua dikenal dengan sebutan Old Print dan cyanotype dikenal dengan blue print. Kata kunci: Tas, Cyanotype, Eceng Gondok
