Abstract

Football is one of the most popular sports in Indonesia. It is played at all levels, from children, men, young to middle-aged. In the current era of football, the stadium as an arena for green field gladiators is also improving. The current condition, Brantas Stadium is used for the relocation of Batu City main market traders who are under construction. The Brantas Stadium and Gajah Mada Sports Centre area of Batu City is an inseparable area which according to its functions and benefits is to increase Human Resources in the field of sports which leads and forms humans to be healthy both physically and mentally. In addition to physical health. The sports area is also expected to be a means of recreation. So the planning of the Brantas Stadium takes a contemporary theme as an attractive design approach to increase public interest and as a tourism attraction considering the city of Batu as a tourist city. Brantas Stadium is located on Jalan Sultan Agung Batu-Malang, Gg. Volly No.11a, Sisir, Kec. Batu, Batu City, East Java. It has a land area of about 5.6 ha with a building area of 31,767 m2. Keywords: Stadium, Recreation, Tourism, Contemporary Sepak bola adalah salah satu olahraga paling populer di Indonesia. Olahraga ini dimainkan pada semua tingkatan, dari anak-anak, laki-laki, muda hingga setengah baya. Di era sepak bola saat ini, stadion sebagai arena para gladiator lapangan hijau ikut berbenah. Kondisi saat ini, Stadion Brantas dipergunakan untuk relokasi pedagang pasar induk Kota Batu yang sedang dibangun. Kawasan Stadion Brantas dan Gelanggang Olahraga Gajah Mada Kota Batu merupakan satu kesatuan kawasan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan yang menurut fungsi dan manfaatnya adalah untuk meningkatkan Sumber Daya Manusia di bidang olahraga yang mengarah dan membentuk manusia menjadi sehat baik jasmani maupun rohani. Selain untuk kesehatan jasmani. Kawasan olahraga tersebut juga diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana rekreasi. Maka perencanaan Stadion Brantas mengambil tema kontemporer sebagai pendekatan desain yang atraktif untuk meningkatkan animo masyarat dan sebagai daya tarik tourism mengingat kota batu sebagai kota wisata. Stadion Brantas terletak di Jalan Sultan Agung Batu-Malang, Gg. Volly No.11a, Sisir, Kec. Batu, Kota Batu, Jawa Timur. Memiliki luas lahan sekitar 5,6 ha dengan luas bangunan 31.767 m2.
