Abstract

Smart Home or smart home is a system that is built with the help of a computer to integrate and control household devices or appliances automatically and effectively. Most smart home systems use smart components that are connected and integrated from one component to another by utilizing an internet network based on the Internet of Things. In this modern era, smart home systems are widely used in various aspects of life, including homes. This fire protection system is implemented in a room inside the house by using several components, including the ESP8266 microcontroller, flame sensor, smoke sensor or MQ-2, buzzer and whatsapp message application. These components are connected and integrated into one with the internet network to send notifications in the form of notification messages that will be sent to the WhatsApp messaging application on a smartphone or laptop if fire, smoke and gas are detected in the house. Based on the test results of the tool, the results of testing the entire data from this system, the fire sensor and the MQ-2 sensor are able to detect fire and gas at a distance of 0 to 70 cm which is indicated by the active buzzer and the appearance of notifications to the whatsapp application on a smartphone or laptop with a delay time average 5 to 8 seconds. This fire protection system can detect early fires at home. By implementing a smart home at home, it can increase security and reliability in homes Keywords: ESP 8266, Flmae sensor, MQ-2, smart home, Whatsapp Smart Home atau rumah pintar merupakan sistem yang dibangun bantuan komputer untuk mengintregrasikan dan mengendalikan perangkat atau peralatan rumah seacara otomatis dan efesien. Sistem rumah pintar yang sebagian besar menggunakan komponen-komponen pintar yang terhubung dan terintegrasi antara satu komponen ke komponen yang lain dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet berbasis Internet of Things. Pada era modern seperti saaat ini, rumah pintar sangat banyak digunakan di berbagai aspek kehidupan tidak terkecuali rumah tinggal. Sistem proteksi kebakaran ini terimplementasi pada ruangan di dalam rumah dengan dirancang menggunakan beberapa komponen-komponen meliputi mikrokontroler ESP8266, sensor api atau flame sensor, sensor asap atau MQ-2, buzzer serta aplikasi pesan whatsapp. Komponen-komponen tersebut terhubung dan terintegrasi manjadi satu dengan jaringan internet untuk mengirimkan notifikasi berupa pesan peringatan yang akan dikirimkan ke aplikasi pesan whatsapp pada smartphone atau laptop apabila terdeteksi adanya api, asap dan gas di dalam rumah. Berdasarkan hasil dari pengujian alat di dapatkan hasil data pengujian secara keseluruhan dari sistem ini, sensor api dan sensor MQ-2 mampu mendeteksi api serta gas pada jarak 0 sampai 70 cm ditandai oleh aktifnya buzzer dan munculnya notifikasi ke aplikasi whatsapp pada smartphone atau laptop dengan delay waktu rata-rata yaitu 7 sampai 15 detik. Sistem proteksi kebakaran ini dapat mendeteksi dini kebakaran di rumah. Dengan menerapkan smart home di rumah dapat meningkatkan keamanan dan kehandalan di rumah.
