Abstract

Buniwangi Village, Gegerbitung District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java still lacks internet access. Communities in the Buniwangi village area cannot use the telecommunications network to carry out activities from home. This is an obstacle, especially during a pandemic where many activities must be carried out online. This study aims to design a point to point communication network (PTP) between gandasoli and buniwangi villages. Point to point communication is a way of connecting two antennas using a wireless network. The analysis in this study uses UISP and Wireshark software. PTP communication design is done by analyzing the Fresnel zone. Simulation and testing in this study were carried out using UISP, airOS, Speedtest by Ookla, and Wireshark software. The results of this study obtained transmitting and receiving antennas. Testing using the airOS software, the -64 dBm receiver is included in the very good category, and 99% CCQ transmission is included in the very good category. Testing using the Speedtest by Ookla software on the transmitter obtained an average download speed of 46.7 Mbps and an average upload speed of 37.2 Mbps. Recipients got an average download speed of 28.5 Mbps and an average upload of 35 Mbps. Tests using Wireshark software obtained the lowest packet loss value of 0%, the highest packet loss of 0.1%, the lowest delay value of 4.705317 ms and the highest value of 30.212586 ms. the lowest jitter value is 0.00021 and the highest is 0.09963. Keywords: Point to Point, Line of Sight, packet loss, delay, jitter. Desa Buniwangi, Kecamatan Gegerbitung, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jawa Barat masih minim akses internet. Masyarakat di wilayah desa Buniwangi tidak dapat menggunakan jaringan telekomunikasi untuk melakukan aktivitas dari rumah. Hal ini menjadi kendala, apalagi di masa pandemi dimana banyak kegiatan yang harus dilakukan secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang jaringan komunikasi point to point (PTP) antara desa gandasoli dan desa buniwangi. Komunikasi point to point adalah cara menghubungkan dua antena menggunakan jaringan nirkabel. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan software UISP dan Wireshark. Perancangan komunikasi PTP dilakukan dengan menganalisis Zona Fresnel. Simulasi dan pengujian pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan software UISP, airOS, Speedtest by Ookla, dan Wireshark. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh antena pemancar dan penerima. Pengujian menggunakan software airOS, receiver -64 dBm termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dan transmisi CCQ 99% termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Pengujian menggunakan software Speedtest by Ookla pada pemancar didapatkan rata-rata kecepatan download sebesar 46,7 Mbps dan rata-rata kecepatan upload sebesar 37,2 Mbps. Penerima mendapatkan kecepatan unduh rata-rata 28,5 Mbps dan unggahan rata-rata 35 Mbps. Pengujian menggunakan software Wireshark diperoleh nilai packet loss terendah 0%, packet loss tertinggi 0,1%, nilai delay terendah 4,705317 ms dan nilai tertinggi 30,212586 ms. nilai jitter terendah adalah 0.00021 dan tertinggi adalah 0.09963.
