Abstract
This research was written to analyze the problems that occur in the Granulator Machine, especially in changeover activities where the problem is that changeover activities take a long time and the activities are considered less effective. This study uses the Single Minute Exchange Of Dies (SMED) method by taking 20 actual activity time data using the Stopwatch Time Study method. Then the data is processed using the SMED method and eliminated by separating internal and external activities. Furthermore, the data is evaluated and implemented improvements aimed at accelerating changeover activities on the Granulator Machine. There are two improvements made, namely minimizing internal activities by eliminating manual machine cleaning activities and creating new recipes in the CIP feature with the system being one chained or sequential cycle. The result of this study is that changeover activities become more effective where after the application of the SMED and Improvement method the changeover activity becomes 69.4 minutesfaster with an average activity time of 83 minutes compared to before implementing SMED and Repair. Keywords: Changeover, SMED, Stopwatch Time Study. Kata Kunci : Changeover, SMED, Stopwatch Time Study.
