Abstract

Wearable antenna is an antenna that has a flexible shape and can be installed anywhere because it uses a flexible material as its radiation and substrate. To achieve good results, wearable antennas must be thin, light, low maintenance, robust, inexpensive and easy to integrate into radio frequency circuits. Because of its thin size, the bandwidth produced by wearable antennas is limited. Flexible materials that are implemented into wearable antennas can be textile materials such as denim, cotton, and various other types of fabrics or non-textile materials such as semi-flexible PCBs, mica, and so on. Many flexible materials can be used, but it is important to know the specifications of the material used such as the dielectric constant and thickness of the material in order to be able to design the antenna. In this study, Taslan was used as a substrate and CFT (Copper Foil Tape) as irradiation. To measure Taslan specifications, the ring resonator method was used and the Taslan dielectric constant (εr) was 1.41 and the thickness (h) was 0.25 mm. The microstrip antenna is designed with a triangular patch, then optimization is carried out by adding an inset to the antenna to obtain a S11 value of -23.1864 dB at a frequency of 2.78 GHz with a bandwidth of 10.5 MHz, a VSWR of 1.2057, a gain of 5.1959 dB and a pattern unidirectional radiation. Then the measurement results obtained S11 value -19.75 dB at a frequency of 2.79 GHz with a bandwidth of 35.7 MHz and a unidirectional radiation pattern. Keywords: inset, ring resonator, Taslan, textile materials, Wearable Antenna Wearable antenna merupakan antena yang memiliki bentuk fleksibel dan dapat dipasang dimana saja karena menggunakan bahan yang fleksibel sebagai peradiasi maupun substratnya. Untuk mencapai hasil yang baik, wearable antenna harus tipis, ringan, tingkat perawatan rendah, kuat, murah dan mudah diintegrasikan dalam rangkaian frekuensi radio. Karena ukurannya yang tipis, bandwidth yang dihasilkan wearable antenna pun terbatas. Material fleksibel yang diimplementasikan menjadi wearable antenna bisa berupa material tekstil seperti denim, katun, dan berbagai jenis kain lainnya atau material nontekstil seperti PCB semi fleksibel, mika, dan lain sebagainya. Banyak material fleksibel yang dapat digunakan, namun penting untuk mengetahui spesifikasi material yang digunakan seperti konstanta dielektrik dan ketebalan bahan agar dapat dilakukan perancangan antena. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Taslan sebagai substrat dan CFT (Copper Foil Tape) sebagai peradiasi. Untuk pengukuran spesifikasi Taslan digunakan metode ring resonator dan menghasilkan nilai konstanta dielektrik Taslan (εr) 1,41 dan ketebalan (h) 0,25 mm. Antena mikrostrip dirancang dengan patch berbentuk segitiga, kemudian dilakukan optimasi dengan menambahkan inset pada antena sehingga diperoleh nilai S11 -23,1864 dB pada frekuensi 2,78 GHz dengan bandwidth 10,5 MHz, VSWR 1,2057, gain 5,1959 dB serta pola radiasi unidirectional. Kemudian pada hasil pengukuran diperoleh nilai S11 -19,75 dB pada frekuensi 2,79 GHz dengan bandwidth 35,7 MHz dan pola radiasi unidirectional.
