Abstract

4G technology is a technology that can accommodate the need for internet network quality with one of the parameters determining its quality is throughput. Capacity unbalance is one of the problems that can limit network performance, this is evidenced by the trend of PRB utility at the PAD469 site is not balanced where sector 3 of the L900 frequency has a utility percentage value of 72.46% while L1800 40.49% and L2100 37.71%, PAD469 site sector 3 frequency 900 MHz is also indicated to experience overshoot based on TA data, the dominant UE distance is more than 391 meters from the site while the PAD469 site distance with neighboring sites is less than 100 meters. Optimization can be done to improve the situation. The load balancing method is chosen to improve the capacity unbalance condition where the LbAct and lbA5Thr1RsrpFreqOffset parameter tunning process is carried out, and the physical tunning method is carried out to reduce overshoot indications. From the optimization results, it was found that the downlink throughput value of L900, L1800, and L2100 increased from 1.00 Mbps, 35.4 Mbps, and 32.7 Mbps before optimization to 22.9 Mbps, 49.8 Mbps, and 53.7 Mbps, while for the percentage value of L900 band utility, L1800 and L2100, decreased from 72.46%, 37.71%, and 40.49% to 68.86%, 40.50%, 44.52% so it can be concluded that the load balancing and physical tunning optimization methods can improve the capacity unbalance and overshoot conditions that occur at site PAD469. Keywords: 4G LTE, Capacity unbalance, load balancing, Optimization, overshoot, Physical tunning Teknologi 4G merupakan teknologi yang dapat mengakomodir kebutuhan akan kualitas jaringan internet dengan salah satu parameter penentu kualitasnya adalah throughput. Capacity unbalance merupakan salah satu masalah yang dapat membatasi performansi jaringan, ini dibuktikan dengan adanya trend utilitas PRB pada site PAD469 tidak seimbang dimana sektor 3 frekuensi L900 memiliki nilai persentase utilitas adalah 72,46% sedangkan L1800 40,49% dan L2100 37,71%, site PAD469 sektor 3 frekuensi 900 MHz juga terindikasi mengalami overshoot berdasarkan data TA, jarak dominan UE lebih dari 391 meter dari site sedangkan jarak site PAD469 dengan site tetangga kurang dari 100 meter. Optimasi dapat dilakukan untuk memperbaiki keadaan tersebut. Metoda load balancing dipilih untuk memperbaiki kondisi capacity unbalance dimana dilakukan proses tunning parameter LbAct dan lbA5Thr1RsrpFreqOffset, dan dilakukan metode physical tunning untuk mengurangi indikasi overshoot. Dari hasil optimasi didapatkan peningkatan nilai downlink throughput L900,L1800, dan L2100 dari sebelum optimasi 1,00 Mbps, 35,4 Mbps, dan 32,7 Mbps menjadi 22,9 Mbps, 49,8 Mbps, dan 53,7 Mbps, sedangkan untuk nilai persentase utilitas band L900, L1800 dan L2100, menurun dari 72,46%, 37,71%, dan 40,49% menjadi 68,86%, 40,50%, 44,52% sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode optimasi load balancing dan physical tunning dapat memperbaiki kondisi capacity unbalance dan overshoot yang terjadi pada site PAD469.
