Abstract

The increasing of vehicle technology in line with the growth in the volume of vehicles on the highway, the greenhouse gas effect that can have a negative effect on the environment is also increasing, so the development of electric vehicles is seen as a promising environmentally friendly technology and can reduce carbon release in the air. However, in its development, each vehicle experiences various obstacles in terms of uphill ability, according to a survey conducted by the International Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on the type of electric motorcycle, each variation of engine rotational speed and transmission has various grade ability. Grade ability is the ability of a vehicle to cross a track with a maximum slope angle with sufficient power. A vehicle can be said to have grade ability if it is able to climb the steepness classification at an efficient speed. This research was conducted to analyze the ability of the converted electric motor vehicle to climb the track with the highest slope angle. The research was conducted using a converted electric motor vehicle that has 72V battery specifications and 2KW electric motor power. In the data collection process, it is assisted by gyrometer software to measure the slope of the test track and there are 5 variable test points that have a slope angle of 5°, 9°, 13°, 21°, & 35°, and a DC multimeter system to measure the battery ampere hour before and after the test. Tests were carried out with 2 loading variables, namely the weight of the driver plus the weight of the passenger and the weight of the motor with a total weight of 255kg and without passengers with a total weight of 170 kg. From the test, it was found that the lowest battery consumption was in the test with a tilt angle of 5° with an average consumption of 90 mAh and maximum average 205 mAh with angle of 21° also had a maximum grade ability of 208 kN which could be achieved at an engine speed of 256 rpm with a peak torque of 14 Nm. Dengan semakin meningkatnya teknologi kendaraan yang sejalan dengan pertumbuhan volume kendaraan dijalan raya, semakin meningkatkan pula efek gas rumah kaca yang dapat memberikan efek buruk bagi lingkungan, maka pengembangan kendaraan listrik dipandang sebagai teknologi ramah lingkungan yang menjanjikan serta dapat mengurangi pelepasan karbon di udara. Namun pada pengembangannya setiap kendaraan mengalami berbagai hambatan dalam hal kemampuan menanjak, menurut survey yang dilakukan oleh International Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) pada jenis sepeda motor listrik, setiap variasi kecepatan putar mesin dan transmisi memiliki berbagai kemampuan grade ability nya. Grade ability adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki kendaraan untuk melintasi suatu lintasan dengan sudut kemiringan maksimal dengan tenaga yang cukup. Kendaraan bisa dikatakan memiliki grade ability apabila mampu menanjak pada klasifikasi kecuraman dengan kecepatan yang efisien. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan kendaraan motor listrik hasil konversi dalam mendaki lintasan dengan sudut kemiringan tertingginya. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan kendaraan motor listrik hasil konversi yang memiliki spesifikasi baterai 72V dan daya motor listrik 2KW. Pada proses pengambilan datanya dibantu oleh perangkat lunak gyrometer untuk mengukur kemiringan lintasan pengujian dan didapati 5 variabel titik pengujian yang memiliki sudut kemiringan 5°, 9°, 13°, 21°, & 35°, serta perangkat DC multimeter sistem untuk mengukur ampere hour baterai saat sebelum dan sesudah pengujian. Pengujian dilakukan dengan 2 variabel pembebanan, yaitu berat pengemudi ditambah berat penumpang serta berat motor dengan total berat 255kgdan tanpa penumpang dengan berat total 170 kg. Dari pengujian didapati konsumsi baterai terendah berada pada pengujian dengan sudut kemiringan 5° dengan rata-rata konsumsi sebesar 90 mAh dan memiliki nilai tertinggi di sudut 21° dengan rata-rata sebesar 205 mAh serta memiliki grade ability maksimal sebesar 208 kN yang dapat diraih pada putaran mesin sebesar 256 rpm dengan torsi puncak sebesar 14 Nm.
