Abstract

PT Fajarindo Faliman Zipper is a manufacturing company engaged in the garment sector, namely producing garment accessories with superior products, namely zippers. 150/48/2 thread is one of the raw materials used in making zipper tape. The inventory control system at PT Fajarindo Faliman Zipper has not been implemented optimally where the company places orders based on estimates which causes a high amount of remaining inventory (over stock). The purpose of this study was to obtain optimal inventory control conditions from the results of the comparison of the Continuous Review System (Q) method and the Periodic Review System (P) method and to choose the best method based on the minimum total cost. Data collection was carried out in September 2021 -August 2022. The results of the analysis using the Q method obtained a total inventory cost of Rp. 44,322,198 with an order frequency of 29 times with a safety stock value of 6,490 Kg, reorder points of 10,095 Kg and an economical number of customers of 4,767 Kg. Meanwhile, using the P method, the total cost of inventory for one year is IDR 54,620,425 with an economic order frequency of 9 days and a total of 29 orders per year. With a safety stock value of 6,490 kg and an inventory target of 14,730 kg. When compared with the condition of the company where the total cost of inventory for one year amounted to 47,316,303, a savings of 6.33% was generated for the Continuous Review System (Q) Method and for the Periodic Review System (P) Method there was an increase of 15% due to the P Method requiring More safety stock Keywords: control inventori, thread, Continuous Review System (Q), Periodic Review System (P) PT Fajarindo Faliman Zipper merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang garment yaitu memproduksi aksesosris garment dengan produk ungulan yaitu Resleting. Benang 150/48/2 merupakan salah satu bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan pita resleting. Sistem pengendalian persediaan di PT Fajarindo Faliman Zipper belum terlaksana secara optimal dimana perusahaan melakukan pemesanan berdasarkan perkiraan yang menyebabkan besarnya sisa persediaan (Over stok) yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh kondisi optimal pengendalian persediaan dari hasil perbandingan Metode, continuous Review System (Q) dan metode Periodic Review System (P) dan memilih metode terbaik berdasarkan minimum total cost. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan September 2021 -Agustus 2022. Hasil analisis menggunakan metode Q diperoleh total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 44.322.198 dengan frekuensi pemesanan sebanyak 29 kali dengan nilai Safety Stock 6.490 Kg, reorder point 10.095 Kg dan jumlah pemesan ekonomis sebesar 4.767 Kg. Sementara jika menggunakan metode P total cost persediaan selama satu tahun sebesar Rp.54.620.425 dengan frekuensi pemesanan ekonomis yaitu 9 hari dan total pemesanan sebanyak 29 kali per tahun. Dengan nilai Safety Stock 6.490 Kg dan target persediaan sebesar 14.730 Kg. Jika dibandingkan dengan kondisi perusahaan dimana total biaya persediaan selama satu tahun sebesar 47.316.303 maka dihasilkan penghematan sebesar 6,33% untuk Metode continuous Review System (Q) dan untuk Metode Periodic Review System (P) mengalami kenaikan 15% disebabkan karena Metode P membutuhkan Safety stock lebih banyak Kata Kunci: Pengendalian, Persediaan, Benang, Continuous Review System (Q), Periodic Review System (P)
