Abstract

In the development of business in the current digital era, the internet network has become the main support for operational activities in an organization. Over time, the increasing needs of users demand an increase in the quality of the network itself. Some of the problems that exist cannot be tolerated anymore by the ability of the system being operated at this time. Triggered by these conditions, companies are looking for solutions to deal with these demands. This report discusses the implementation of load balancing in an effort to improve the quality of network performance that is configured with the Per Connection Classifier (PCC) method. The object of research and the mechanism of data collection were conducted at a business company in Jakarta. System performance is monitored and evaluated based on QoS testing including parameters Throughput, Packet Loss and Delay with a test scheme based on variations in data transmission. The average value obtained for the Throughput parameter is 1.031 Kbps, the Packet Loss parameter is 0%, and the 3.2 ms Delay parameter. Quantitative parameters confirm the quality of the system improved better than the previous performance. Key words: Load Balancing PCC, Failover, NDLC, Network Optimization, QoS Dalam perkembangan bisnis di era digital saat ini, jaringan internet telah menjadi penunjang utama untuk kegiatan operasional di suatu organisasi. Seiring waktu, meningkatnya kebutuhan pengguna menuntut peningkatan terhadap kualitas jaringan itu sendiri. Beberapa dari permasalahan yang ada tidak dapat ditoleransi lagi oleh kemampuan sistem yang dioperasikan saat ini. Dipicu oleh kondisi tersebut, perusahaan mencari solusi untuk menangani tuntutan ini. Laporan ini membahas tentang implementasi load balancing dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas kinerja jaringan yang dikonfigurasikan dengan metode Per Connection Classifier (PCC). Objek penelitian serta mekanisme pengumpulan data dilakukan di salah satu perusahaan bisnis di Jakarta. Kinerja sistem dipantau dan dievaluasi berdasarkan pengujian QoS meliputi parameter Throughput, Packet Loss dan Delay dengan skema pengujian berdasarkan variasi transmisi data. Nilai rata-rata diperoleh untuk parameter Throughput adalah 1.031 Kbps, parameter Packet Loss adalah 0%, dan parameter Delay 3.2 ms. Parameter kuantitatif mengkonfirmasi kualitas sistem meningkat lebih baik dari kinerja sebelumnya. Kata kunci: Load Balancing PCC, Failover, NDLC, Optimasi Jaringan, QoS
