Abstract

The moldshop department as a support division in mold making at PT. Biggi Cemerlang. In the development mold quality target report for the JanuaryDecember 2022 period, it shows an average percentage of achievement of 75% of the stipulated 93%. This is caused by the average length of time for making molds which should be 50 days to 52 days. So we need an analytical method to identify the causes of problems that occur. DMAIC and VSM methods as the methods used in the analysis. DMAIC analysis through Pareto diagrams shows that there are 6 causes of failure in the mold manufacturing process which is converted to the VSM method, resulting in 3 wastes, namely defects, inappropriate processing and waiting. The highest failure was machining process time exceeding the set schedule with a frequency of 10 times with a percentage of 38.46%, and a Sigma level of 3.493. Cause analysis with Fishbone diagram based on 4 factors, namely man, machine, material and method. Propose improvements through 5W + 1H tools for the highest failure and make plans to improve the flow of the process for making new molds through the future state map in the Value Stream Mapping method. Keywords : DMAIC, SIPOC, VSM, 5W&1H, Failure. Departemen mouldshop sebagai divisi pendukung dalam pembuatan cetakan di PT. Biggy Cemerlang. Dalam laporan sasaran mutu development mould periode Januari-Desember 2022, memperlihatkan persentase pencapaian rata-rata sebesar 75% dari yang ditetapkan sebesar 93%. Hal ini disebabkan oleh lama waktu rata-rata pembuatan cetakan yang seharusnya 50 hari menjadi 52 hari. Sehingga diperlukan metode analisis dalam mengidentifikasi penyebab masalah yang terjadi. Metode DMAIC dan VSM sebagai metode yang digunakan dalam analisis tersebut. Analisis DMAIC melalui diagram pareto memperlihatkan terdapat 6 penyebab kegagalan terhadap proses pembuatan cetakan yang dikonversi kedalam metode VSM diperoleh 3 pemborosan yaitu Defect, inapropriate processing dan waiting. Kegagalan tertinggi adalah waktu proses permesinan melebihi jadwal yang ditetapkan dengan frekuensi sebanyak 10 kali dengan persentase 38,46%, dan level Sigma 3,493. Analisis penyebab dengan diagram Fishbone berdasarkan 4 faktor yaitu man, machine, material dan method. Usulan perbaikan melalui tools 5W+1H terhadap kegagalan tertinggi dan membuat rencana perbaikan aliran proses pembuatan cetakan baru melalui future state map dalam metode Value Stream Mapping.
