Abstract
PT Taland Utama Karisma Perkasa is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry that fabricates several types of heat generation products, one of which is the Thermal Oil Heater (TOH) 3000 HDC. In product fabrication, the company is always committed to providing customer satisfaction by improving product quality. From product checking data from January to December 2022, it was found that the Thermal Oil Heater (TOH) 3000 HDC product had defect findings of 4 pcs with an average defect of 2 pcs or a percentage of 50% which was the highest defect. Factors that can cause failure include the condition of the engineer, the quality of the material and the condition of the machine. This needs to be done further control so that the quality of the products produced can be guaranteed. In this study, a quality control analysis will be carried out in the product fabrication process using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method, which finds the type of failure, identifies the root cause of failure, the level of failure effect, and selects the right repair method. Based on the results of the research conducted, after recommended action was carried out, data was obtained that the average value of defects was 1 pcs or a percentage of 25%, so that product defects decreased by 25%. Keywords: Quality, Quality Control, Defect, FMEA, Thermal Oil Heater PT Taland Utama Karisma Perkasa merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di industri manufaktur yang memfabrikasi beberapa jenis produk pembangkit panas, salah satunya adalah Thermal Oil Heater (TOH) 3000 HDC. Dalam fabrikasi produk perusahaan selalu berkomitmen memberikan kepuasan pelanggan dengan meningkatkan kualitas produk. Dari data pengecekan produk dari bulan Januari sampai dengan Desember 2022, didapatkan produk Thermal Oil Heater (TOH) 3000 HDC terdapat temuan defect 4 pcs dengan rata-rata defect adalah 2 pcs atau persentase 50% yang menjadi defect tertinggi. Faktor yang dapat mempengrahui terjadinya kegagalan antara lain kondisi engineer, kualitas materi dan kondisi mesin. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan pengontrolan (controlling) lebih lanjut supaya kualitas produk yang dihasilkan dapat terjamin. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan analisa pengontrolan kualitas dalam proses fabrikasi produk dengan menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), yang menemukan jenis kegagalan, mengidentifikasi akar penyebab kegagalan, tingkatan dari efek kegagalan, dan dilakukan pemilihan cara perbaikan yang tepat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, setelah dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan, maka diperoleh data bahwa nilai rata-rata defect adalah 1 pcs atau persentase 25%, sehingga defect produk menurun hingga 25%.
