Abstract

Keputusan untuk menjadi seorang biarawan/biarawati menjadikan para Novis harus meninggalkan seluruh kehidupan duniawi untuk seutuhnya mengabdikan kehidupannya untuk Tuhan termasuk berpisah dengan kedua orang tuanya. Hal itu tidaklah mudah dilakukan oleh para Novis demi keberlangsungan atas keputusannya menjadi seorang biarawan/biarawati. Rasa cemas akan datang menghampirinya. Namun disisi lain, para Novis tetap harus mengabdikan diri seutuhnya untuk Tuhan dan rela berpisah dengan kedua orang tuanya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh menulis ekspresif terhadap kecemasan perpisahan dengan orang tua pada novis di Kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Partisipan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 31 novis yang sedang menjalani masa novisiat di kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Metode penelitian dengan Quasi Experiment dengan desain One-group Pretest-Posttest Design Using Double Posttest dan data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan uji Repeated Measures Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, artinya terdapat pengaruh dari pemberian perlakuan dengan menulis ekspresif terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan perpisahan pada novis di Kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk dapat menggali lebih jauh bagaimana faktor yang berkontribusi baik faktor internal maupun eksternal seperti melakukan kontrol terhadap jenis kelamin, masa pendidikan selama menjalani masa novisiat, dan juga kontrol terhadap masih atau tidaknya orang tua, serta melakukan psikoedukasi untuk para novis tentang bagaimana makna dari menulis ekspresif dengan berorientasi dari hasil penelitian ini. This research was conducted to determine the effect of expressive writing on separation anxiety from parents of nun at the Congregation of Santo Dominikus Indonesia. The participants in this study were 31 nuns who were undergoing their novitiate period at the Congregation of Santo Dominikus Indonesia. The research method with Quasi Experiment with the One-group Pretest-Posttest Design Using Double Posttest design and data obtained were analyzed using the Repeated Measures Anova test. The results of the research show value Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, that is there is an effect of giving treatment with expressive writing to reduce anxiety levels farewell on nun at the Congregation of Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Further research is suggested to be able to explore further how the contributing factors are both internal and external factors such as controlling gender, the period of education during the novitiate period, and also controlling whether or not parents are still there, as well as conducting psychoeducation for nuns about how it means of expressive writing with orientation from the results of this study.
